Activities at Werrington Lodge Care Home
Our specialist activities staff are committed to organising a mix of activities and events for residents and the local community to get involved in, including trips out to local places of interest in our minibus and visits from entertainers and musicians. It is important to us that each individual who we support can get as much from these as possible, so we try our best to arrange activities that reflect their interests and capabilities as best as possible and encourage them to participate in any way they can. We also encourage relatives to join with activities and events as often as they can.

Life at Werrington Lodge Care Home
Queens Platinum Jubilee Party
We had the best time getting residents, friends and family together to celebrate the Jubilee! We enjoyed wearing crowns and tiaras, posing with funny photo booth props and were treated with a delicious spread made by our Head Chef. It was so warming to see everyone creating fun memories together.
Ice Cream!
We Scream, You Scream, We all scream for ice cream! Yes thanks to Adam’s Ices we were able to enjoy some fresh Mr Whippy’s from the iconic Ice Cream Van itself. As you can imagine residents loved hearing the jingle and getting to see the van in person, it was very nostalgic.
The Banjo Man
We had the joy of welcoming The Banjo Man to Werrington Lodge this afternoon, it was a brilliant afternoon full of singing and dancing. As it was also national cocktail day residents were able to choose from a selection of delicious cocktails. The whole home was full of warmth and happiness. We cannot wait to have him back in!
Nurse Appreciation Day
Residents rallied together and created some beautiful personalised Thank you cards for the brilliant nurses that always do their utmost for them. It was lovely to see the personal message written inside and it meant a lot to the nurses to receive these.
Cockney Slang Quiz
We put resident’s lingo knowledge to the test with Oomph’s Cockney Rhyming Slang Quiz. We had some born and bred cockneys taking part so we definitely learnt a lot.
Handmade Cards
Staff members at Werrington Lodge were over the moon for receiving handmade Valentine's cards made by the residents. There were smiles and laughter all around the home.
