We are delighted to announce that we received an overall 'Good' in our latest CQC inspection. You can read the report here.

Situated by the lakes on the north-east side of Peterborough and just 10 minutes from the city centre, Werrington Lodge has plenty of local amenities nearby. It is a purpose-built home providing 24-hour nursing care to older people, including people living with dementia, who are cared for in a dedicated Memory Lane community.

We have recently  refurbished large areas of the home, making improvements to various lounges, dining rooms, bedrooms as well as upgrading the reception area to include more seating for residents and visitors.

Here at Werrington Lodge we are always keen to see visitors, so please feel free to come to see us or to give us a call at any time.

Dawn Louth

General Manager

Werrington Lodge is a purpose-built home providing nursing care to older people. Our dedicated memory lane unit cares for people who live with dementia in an environment which enables a personalised service tailored to each individual resident.

Several areas of the home have recently been refurbished, including the reception, lounges and dining areas. The dining experience is a very important part of the residents' day and acts as not only a social occasion, but also one of stimulation, interaction and occupation.

I qualified as an SEN in 1989 and specialised in care of elderly people since 1990. My roles within the social care sector have ranged from working in nursing homes as a nurse and managing services, to working in operations, quality and teaching.

I am passionate about quality care and Barchester, through their quality first programme, ensure that staff act as ambassadors that people can aspire to and who provide quality care to residents that live at the home, and who are privileged to work in this sector for a company that also have the same drive and passion to deliver that quality care. Barchester is committed to enabling staff to be trained to a high standard, which not only empowers them to deliver a high standard of care, but also recognises and rewards staff that work for them.

I look forward to continuing the quality care that is already delivered here at Werrington Lodge, to ensure the needs of all residents are met in a compassionate and sensitive manner, and encouraging each and every one of them to lead a purposeful and fulfilled life.
