Activities at Werrington Lodge Care Home

Our specialist activities staff are committed to organising a mix of activities and events for residents and the local community to get involved in, including trips out to local places of interest in our minibus and visits from entertainers and musicians. It is important to us that each individual who we support can get as much from these as possible, so we try our best to arrange activities that reflect their interests and capabilities as best as possible and encourage them to participate in any way they can. We also encourage relatives to join with activities and events as often as they can.

Werrington Hen Party

Werrington Hen Party

Alicia, one of our activities ladies, recently got married, and in true fashion, we through her a hen party right here at Werrington. Everyone had a great time!

Playing the Part

Playing the Part

Lyn, the newest member of the activities team here at Werrington Lodge, embraced her inner washer woman during the wash day session. Doesn’t she look a treat?

Zoo Trip

Resident, Mable, enjoyed a trip to the zoo recently. She has been at Werrington Lodge for approximately 4 months and enjoys all kinds of activities within the home.  Resident, James, was the navigator on the trip – and a fine job he did to too!

,

Environmental Day

Resident, James, who loves nothing more than watching the wildlife feed outside his window, loved making bird feeders to add to his collection; and resident, Margaret, who is with us for a short-term stay, enjoyed recycling old CDs into hanging decorations for the garden.

Fond Memories

Fond Memories

Resident, John, sadly passed away recently, and we will be buying some garden gnomes in his memory. John's daughter, Bridgette, painted this lovely picture and, along with John's wife, Jennifer, presented it to the staff and residents on Memory Lane as a thank you and as a reminder of John's time spent with us here at Werrington Lodge.

Environment Day

Residents have been busy making bird feeders and water bottles for Environmental Day. Margaret, who is only here for a short-term stay, has really embraced this activity since arriving.
