Activities at Werrington Lodge Care Home
Our specialist activities staff are committed to organising a mix of activities and events for residents and the local community to get involved in, including trips out to local places of interest in our minibus and visits from entertainers and musicians. It is important to us that each individual who we support can get as much from these as possible, so we try our best to arrange activities that reflect their interests and capabilities as best as possible and encourage them to participate in any way they can. We also encourage relatives to join with activities and events as often as they can.

Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Werrington Lodge Care Home
10 Years of Service
Activities Coordinator, Alicia Ferris, recently received her 10 year Long Service Award. She began working here at Werrington as a Housekeeper and returned as a Care Assistant after being on maternity leave. Alicia has always helped out with activities and, when the opportunity arose in May 2017, she joined the activities team.
15 Years of Service
Congratulations to Natalie Ivanov, who recently received his 15 year Long Service Award here at Werrington. Well done!
Music and Movement
We recently had a wonderful afternoon at our Music and Movement session. Jeremy came into to hold the session for residents and staff who were dancing around the home all afternoon and singing away!
Garden Party
The Mayor of Peterborough joined us for our garden party, where we had a a tombola, lots of refreshments and music provided by DJ Dillon.
Don't Dine Alone
While out shopping Tesco, a local lady named Pat saw our Don't Dine Alone posters and decided to give it a go!
Pat enjoyed a home cooked meal and company during lunch. She loved having others to chat to and will be definitely be coming to join us again.
Birthday celebrations at Werrington!
We recently celebrated Gwen's birthday here at Werrington Lodge with residents, staff and her family all coming together to throw her a party.
