Activities at Werrington Lodge Care Home
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.
Our specialist activities staff are committed to organising a mix of activities and events for residents and the local community to get involved in, including trips out to local places of interest in our minibus and visits from entertainers and musicians. It is important to us that each individual who we support can get as much from these as possible, so we try our best to arrange activities that reflect their interests and capabilities as best as possible and encourage them to participate in any way they can. We also encourage relatives to join with activities and events as often as they can.

Skittles Fun!!
Lots of excitement at Werrington Lodge today. A competitive streak came out in a few playing skittles. Fun and laughter had by all with Ginnie been the overall winner
Pub Lunch!!

Valentine's Day
To celebrate Valentine’s day, here at Werrington Lodge four of our residents had a lovely private lunchtime with their husbands and wives.
Our lounge became a worm and elegant restaurant where our residents, along with their loved ones indulged in delicious dishes, including soup, meat and a chocolate cake.
Everyone had an amazing time and Bryan, at the end of the meal, said: “can we start over again?”. Barbara said: “Thank you for this experience. The room is lovely and the idea of a romantic lunch is brilliant”.
Fountain Chocolate
Here at Werrington Lodge we melted our heart and dipped it along with marshmallows and strawberries into a creamy and delicious fountain chocolate. With just few simple ingredients our care home was filled with joy, bright colours and smiley faces. Even members of staff enjoyed this tasty moment with our loved residents. Ann commented: “I have never tried it before, but I really like it”. Marjory couldn’t stop treating herself with the sweetest appetizer of the world."
Music Event
Here at Werrington Lodge Marcello has been invited to break the silence with his exuberant personality and with his lovely voice. Not just families and friends joined in the party, but also our staff sang along and danced with residents on the notes of the best of the 60’s and 70’s, making this event a truly and memorable occasion. Norma and Velda were so pleased and they enjoyed every moment. Thank you Marcello for bringing joy and enrichment to everyone’s life.
Fun At Christmas
It's Christmas at Werrington Lodge and that has meant music, dancing, great food, outings to garden centres, schools and shops alongside wonderful family fun.
