Activities at Werrington Lodge Care Home

Our specialist activities staff are committed to organising a mix of activities and events for residents and the local community to get involved in, including trips out to local places of interest in our minibus and visits from entertainers and musicians. It is important to us that each individual who we support can get as much from these as possible, so we try our best to arrange activities that reflect their interests and capabilities as best as possible and encourage them to participate in any way they can. We also encourage relatives to join with activities and events as often as they can.

Eye Spy

This afternoon at Werrington Lodge, we gathered round in the Kingfisher Lounge for a game of Eye Spy. We were very high-spirited today!

Having a look round the room, residents took their time having a go to say 'Eye Spy with my little eye... something beginning with ‘_' whilst the others had to guess what the object is.

We had numerous objects used, including: fireplace, bookcase, picture, flowers and fire exit.

Gardening Club

Come along and join us every Tuesday at 2pm for our weekly gardening club. We have made great progress over that last couple of weeks, we are beginning to see our fruit and veg sprouting. We have sowed a variety of seeds, from garlic, broad beans, tomatoes, potatoes and summer flowers.

We have put in a lot of effort to make our gardens look blooming beautiful, with hand designed hanging baskets and potted plants.

We are looking forward to the summer to see what home-grown items we can use for our weekly baking club.

Spring walk around Cuckoo’s Hollow

What a beautiful morning we had!

The residents went on a lovely walk around the lakes this morning, we fed the ducks and also enjoyed the sun and nature surrounding us.

A big thank you to Boots N Strings for the fantastic afternoon we had here at Werrington Lodge on the 13th April. They sure did get us grooving with their great song choices. We love live entertainment here at our home - it brings such happiness!

Baking at Werrington Lodge

We have a weekly baking session and on this particular day the sun was shining and we made Chocolate and Vanilla Cupcakes!

We all had a fantastic time baking and decorating but the best part of it all was eating our delicious creations.
