Activities at Windmill Manor Care Home

Our activities team are great at building the activities programme around the likes and interests of the people we care for. Ensuring that our social events offer fun and adventure is part of the ethos of our home; it’s important that those we support can enjoy an active and social lifestyle. Of course, there will always be those who prefer peace and quiet, and in these instances, a cup of tea and a chat are always welcomed.

Employee of The Month

Faith Burgess is our employee of the month for January. Her "can do" attitude and hard work going over and above daily with a big smile on her face meant the vote was unanimous! Well done Faith!

National Pie Week!

This week is National Pie Week. There's nothing quite like a fantastic mouth watering apple pie topped with vanilla ice cream! Our residents shared their expertise with our Head of Life Enrichment, Sherry and joined in to make sure Windmill Manor's pies for lunch were perfect! An amazing dessert was enjoyed by all!

International Women's Day

Happy International Women's Day! Windmill Manor welcomes residents and team members from all walks of life and nations! Diversity and equality are key for us. We all thoroughly enjoyed a wonderful celebration tea with one of our international residents, Mrs P who has lived with us for 5 years and is 103 years young this year!

Real Bread Week

Windmill Manor residents enjoyed a real bread tasting experience as part of Real Bread Week. We enjoyed a variety of bread, some of being, ciabatta, French stick, crusty cob loaf, granary bread, soda bread, and black pepper and sea salt tiger bread.

It was a tasty afternoon, with freshly made bread being served warm with melting butter with a wonderful aroma.

Valentine's Day

Windmill Manor Care Home celebrated Valentine's in style. Everyone was presented with a personalised red rose to start this special day with.

An exquisite 6 course fine dining experience, prepared by the home's talented chefs, was served at lunch, followed by a choice of watching a romantic film or taking part in a Valentine's quiz.
