Activities at Windmill Manor Care Home

Our activities team are great at building the activities programme around the likes and interests of the people we care for. Ensuring that our social events offer fun and adventure is part of the ethos of our home; it’s important that those we support can enjoy an active and social lifestyle. Of course, there will always be those who prefer peace and quiet, and in these instances, a cup of tea and a chat are always welcomed.

Life at Windmill Manor Care Home

St Swithin's Day

Residents at Windmill Manor became weather forecasters for the day and tried to decide whether the St Swithin’s Day prediction was going to be fair or not.

According to tradition, the weather on this feast day will continue in the same vein for the next 40 days so everyone at the home had their fingers crossed for a sunny day.

Residents and staff prepared a beautiful flower arrangement for our local Church, St John’s as a special gift for St Swithin’s Day.

Green Fingers

Windmill Manor's herb and vegetable garden is growing. The herbs are regularly used by our chefs and are also added as an infusion to water for hydration.

A Special Thank You to the WI

As a special thank you, to the ladies from Women's Insitute for making us beautiful brightly coloured Knitted blankets. As a special thank you, we invited them to enjoy a High Tea at Windmill Manor.

Birthday Celebrations

A resident turned an amazing 102 years old here at Windmill Manor recently, and we all had lots of fun celebrating with her.

National Beer Day

You better beer-lieve that residents at Windmill Manor were more than 'hoppy' to raise a glass, and sample some top local ale from Westerham Brewery in Westerham and Old Dairy Brewery in Tenterden, provided by Stuart Medcalf in celebration of National Beer Day.

Beer lovers at the home celebrated and spread beery joy by joining the national toast at 7pm on 15th June, along with millions of people across the country to say "cheers to beer!"

A Kind Donation

Carole and the members from the Women's Institute have got together and knitted, crocheted and sewn together these beautiful blankets and kindly donated to our residents here at Windmill Manor.
