Activities at Windmill Manor Care Home

Our activities team are great at building the activities programme around the likes and interests of the people we care for. Ensuring that our social events offer fun and adventure is part of the ethos of our home; it’s important that those we support can enjoy an active and social lifestyle. Of course, there will always be those who prefer peace and quiet, and in these instances, a cup of tea and a chat are always welcomed.

Life at Windmill Manor Care Home

,

Harvest Festival

Windmill Manor reaped and sowed to produce our amazing Harvest Festival table. Our chefs and residents got to work creating inspirational designs out of salt dough, along with local and home grown vegetables.

,

Virtual Dog Show

Residents at Windmill Manor enjoyed choosing their favourite photos to pick first, second and third place for the 'Handsome Hound' and 'Prettiest Pooch' catefories in our virtual dog competition.

We had a great response, with a total of 20 dogs entered by friends, family, staff and local community. Our residents and staff have agreed that dogs are 'man’s best friends in countless way: they protect our homes, help lead the blind, and acted heroically in times of war.

Continuing Community Links

Staff at Windmill Manor recently organised a Disney princess photoshoot as a big thank you too all our pen pals, who have sent letters, pictures and a few scribbles to our residents. Residents at the home particularly liked the beautiful dresses, and engaging with the princesses.

Friendship Day

Amanda, Windmill Manors's General Manager likes to make sure they are at the heart of the community. Getting ready to deliver goody bags and sweet treats to all our friends old and new.

Ice cream deliveries

What a lovely treat for the residents. Enzo the ice cream man came to the home and served the residents any sweet treat of their choice. Happy faces and full tummy's all round. We cant wait to have him back again.

Long awaited garden reunions

Windmill Manor have opened their gardens to welcome family back. Loved ones have been so happy to be reunited with much missed family. Although still at a safe distance the smiles from everyone has been wonderful to watch long may it continue.
