Our staff are what hold the home together. Each one of these team members are dedicated to providing high quality care and services to those we support, and ensuring that residents enjoy all aspects of life at our home. See below to meet some of our friendly faces:

Amanda Gunner

General Manager

Hi, my name is Amanda, and I am the general manager here at Windmill Manor. Welcome to our website!

I have been a registered nurse for over 20 years. My passion for working within care homes started with my first registered manager position in 1997. My career has also included positions as a Specialist Practitioner District Nurse, Community Matron for Nursing and Residential Homes, Advanced Nurse Practitioner for Care Homes and Independent Prescriber. 

I am also proud to have the title of 'Queens Nurse' for providing a high level of commitment to patient care and nursing practice within care homes.

I am proud of being able to make a difference to people's lives by providing high quality person-centred care in in our specialist dementia care home.

My door is always open for a chat, so please feel free to pop in.

 

Carmella Lewis

Deputy Manager

I have been a Registered Nurse since 2001, working in general nursing and governance.

I originally joined Barchester Healthcare as a Clinical Development Nurse (CDN), covering 11 nursing homes in the South Division.

I decided to take up the role of Deputy Manager (Clinical) at Windmill Manor because I found the home well focused in dementia care, with a well-experienced team.

I am fortunate to be part of this dedicated team, which promotes great values in dementia care.

Deneil Lehmann

Unit Manager

I am from Cape Town, South Africa. I was previously a Primary Health Care Manager at Oasis Retirement Resort. I have also worked as a Theatre Sister. I am very happy to join the team.

Lesley Bebbington

Receptionist

My name is Lesley and I have been the receptionist here since early 2019. My previous role was within Boots Pharmacy so care is new to me. Every day my job really is very different. I enjoy the interaction with families, residents and staff. And i am proud to be a member of the team.

Jean Manson

Jean Manson

Administrator

I first joined the team at Windmill Manor in 2011 as a part-time Admin Assistant, only a few months after the home opened. I then spent two and a half years as the Administrator at another Barchester home, before returning to Windmill Manor in 2018.

As the Administrator, I am responsible for all the financial and business administration at the home, working closely with the General Manager.

I love the variety of my job and the interaction with residents and their families.

Sherry Owen

Head of Activities

Hi, my name is Sherry, and I have managed the activities team since July 2015. I am very passionate about my role and encourage each residents to join in with activities as much as possible. We provide a varied programme to ensure that the needs of each individual are met.

Aneil Manmohan

Head Chef

Hello, I am the Head Chef here at Windmill Manor, I am originally from South Africa and very passionate about creating a fine dining experience for our residents. I trained as a chef in culinary arts and Patisserie and have experience in both restaurants and the care Industry. I look forward to creating nutritious meals for our residents.

Kimberley O'Rourke

Head of Housekeeping

I became Head of the Housekeeping December 2019. I thoroughly enjoy my role from day-to-day. I enjoy talking to the residents and their families. I ensure that their rooms are homely, fresh and clean. I manage a team of 7 staff, and i am proud to say we are a great team and work really hard. I find every day is very rewarding regardless of any challenges faced. I have 2 daughters and a very handsome grandson. I am a very proud mummy & nanny.
