Activities at Windmill Manor Care Home

Our activities team are great at building the activities programme around the likes and interests of the people we care for. Ensuring that our social events offer fun and adventure is part of the ethos of our home; it’s important that those we support can enjoy an active and social lifestyle. Of course, there will always be those who prefer peace and quiet, and in these instances, a cup of tea and a chat are always welcomed.

Life at Windmill Manor Care Home

Love!

John and Yvonne Endless Love! Yvonne moved to Windmill Manor to enable her to make the best recovery possible and John travels a distance to see her daily. He's a big part of our family too now. Barchester Healthcare very much welcome couples to live in and or visit each other freely and join activities, entertainment, continue mutual hobbies and interests or just share a meal together!

Peace!

Today's Arts & Crafts session at Windmill Manor was all about the preparation for a cohesive project by local church, St John’s. This year the topic they've given us is "A Refection of PEACE!" We're busy designing a collage to be exhibited at St John’s along with other groups in our community.

Tandridge Council Chairman Visits

It was an honour and a prvilege to welcome Tandridge Council, Chairman, Cllr Simon Morrow to our beautiful home this week. He very kindly ignored the inclement weather and helped us plant our memorial tree for afore mentioned dear colleague, Ana. Hot toddies and chef's award winning scones followed!

"On the house!"

When a new resident moves in to Windmill Manor, two of the things on offer to enjoy are a complimentary hair appointment and manicure. Our residents then feel ready to meet new friends and settle in more easily. A's family were emailed this photograph and the family immediately responded: "It's lovely to see mum so relaxed after such a long time! Thank you."

Morrisons Generosity.....

Morrisons in Oxted are such a great team and Mike as their community champion goes over and above on a daily basis! This week he kindly gave us a huge discount on 100 eggs for our residents, team and our "Children in hospital at Easter" initiative. Thank you so much Mike, Amanda and all your colleagues!

Happy Mother's Day

Windmill Manor's Administration Manager, Dipam popped by on this wonderful day awash with flowers to spend time and share a meal with our residents who are without their own children to visit today. Thank you Dipam!
