Activities at Windmill Manor Care Home

Our activities team are great at building the activities programme around the likes and interests of the people we care for. Ensuring that our social events offer fun and adventure is part of the ethos of our home; it’s important that those we support can enjoy an active and social lifestyle. Of course, there will always be those who prefer peace and quiet, and in these instances, a cup of tea and a chat are always welcomed.

We did it!

Staff at Windmill Manor care home, bravely face the Alzheimer's 'Ice Bucket Challenge' to raise precious funds for the Alzheimer's Society.

We were all in agreement it is a great cause to support, however we are looking for a slightly warmer and less messy fund raiser for our next fundraising activity.

Mr & Mrs O’REILLY renew their Wedding Vows.

Saturday was an amazing day here at Windmill Manor

Residents, staff, families and friends joined Yvonne and John o their special day to renew their vowels.

The couple decided this was something they really wanted to do, so our team here at Windmill Manor sprung into action.  Our Activities Lead Sherrie became function manager, organising the rest of our team to make this dream come true.

The beautiful delicious cake was made by our Head Chef and her team.

The beautiful ceremony was taken by Rev Mary Seller from S Johns Church and the afternoon finished with live entertainment by Jimmy Kent finishing with ' Love me Tender'.
