Activities at Mount Tryon Care Home

Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Annmarie Scourfield

Activities Coordinator

Hi, My name is Annmarie and I am the Lead Activities Coordinator here at Mount Tryon Care Home. I am passionate about supporting our residents and supporting them to take part in person centered activities. It is important to me that we are encouraging our residents to do the things they enjoy and build a happy, sociable environment for them.

String Musicians

String Musicians

Residents and relatives were serenaded by Rachael Elliot and Beatrice Newman. They enjoyed string music from around the world, along with a few musical classics specially arranged.

Open Day

On the 27th January, we were full to the brim with visitors of all kinds, from members of the public to some cute and cuddly creatures. Our furry friends joined us as residents and guests were treated to a performance from Mack Entertainment, all while munching on some scrumptious, homemade cakes.

Cheque Presentation

Last year, at our open days, we held charity raffles to raise funds for Age UK Torbay, with money being donated by residents, loved ones, staff members and other visitors. Between summer and our 25th anniversary party, we managed to raise £158. The cheque was then presented at our 'Meet the Manager' event.

Giant Scrabble

Keeping residents' minds sharp with a game of giant Scrabble can often become quite animated, as both residents and staff members have been known to develop a certain competitive edge!
