I have previously enjoyed a position organising activities for a substance abuse charity, where I saw the valuable impact of having a full and active life, and what a drastic effect that can have on a person's health and progress. I studied Psychology at university and, following that, I studied Art in Plymouth.
I am an avid fan of theatre and all performing arts, from musicals to live orchestration, and I am actively involved in the tech crew of local theatre. I chose to take a post as Activities Coordinator to combine my love of working with people and my interest in activities and events.
I am always up for trying something new; my personal hobbies range from kickboxing to playing the oboe. I aim to give every resident access to whatever activities/facilities they desire, inside and outside the home.
Everyone working at Mount Tryon is dedicated to ensuring that those we support can live their lives too the fullest. For some, it is simply support with transport to a club they’ve been part of for years, and for others, it can be helping them experience new things – whatever it is, we’ll give it a go!
I am always looking for new ideas and activities for people to try, so if you have any thoughts, please don’t hesitate to let me know.
