Activities at Cheshire Grange Care Home
The activities team are constantly striving to meet the varied needs of everyone who lives in our home, offering a wide range of group and individual social events. There are regular visits from entertainers, along with craft activities, baking, games & puzzle days and pampering sessions, which fill the week. However, we can always find time for outings and just spending that little bit of special time with residents who enjoy the peace and quiet. We aim to bring the activities to the individual, whilst making it a whole home experience.
Jo Eland
After originally starting at Cheshire Grange in May 2015, I'm delighted to be back in the role of Activities Coordinator. It is a privilege to be in this role and spend time, getting to know our ladies and gentleman and their loved one, whilst doing all the fun things that can make such a difference to their days.

Life at Cheshire Grange Care Home
Bake-off Challenge
Cheshire Grange got into the Christmas spirit this month with a dose of healthy competition in the form of a bake-off challenge! Staff from all around the home joined relatives of our residents to see who could whip up the best cake. Who do you think won? The hardworking staff who got to eat the delicious cakes of course!
Rock Choir
Residents were treated to the amazing ladies and gents of the Rock Choir as they blew us all away with their lively Christmas tunes! It was a packed house for this one!
Anyone for Trifle?
The ladies had a great afternoon rolling up their sleeves and making individual trifles, which were then enjoyed with a nice cup of tea.
Irlam Station
Ladies and gents at Cheshire Grange enjoyed a trip down memory lane when we visited Irlam Railway Station, which has been restored to its former glory, complete with a left luggage office and many original features. The station buffet room was a favourite, as we all enjoyed tea & cakes. This was a special trip for one of the ladies, as she used to catch the train to school and work from this station.
Country Roads
Cheshire Grange regular, Sandra Currie, entertained residents with a wild west-themed singalong. The ladies and gents joined in with 'Rhinestone Cowboy', 'Rawhide' and many other favourites.
Here Comes the Broom
Cheshire Grange took part in Lymm's Scarecrow Trail again this year, and the theme was 'Let's Celebrate', so we had a groom who was a little worse for wear celebrating his forthcoming wedding!
