Features such as adapted crockery and tableware, sensory gardens with low risk walkways and activity kitchens are there to enable people to engage in life's everyday tasks and pleasures. Essential to our homely feel is the enhanced relationship of trust built with family, friends and residents

We think you will find that Cheshire Grange looks and feels very special. But don't just take our word for it - why not pop in for a coffee and a chat with Allison, our General Manager, whose job it is to assist families as they navigate their way through finding the most suitable care home. We hope we see you soon.

Allison Kennie

General Manager

Hi, my name is Allison Kennie, and I am the General Manager here at Cheshire Grange.

I was so happy to join Barchester and Cheshire Grange in November 2015. I have been a Registered Nurse (Mental Health) since 1984 and have worked in the NHS in Scotland and England, before moving to the private sector in 1989. Before Barchester I've worked for three other providers and have been a Home Manager since 1994.

I love Cheshire Grange and count my blessings every day that I am here. Whilst I am responsible for everything about Cheshire Grange, it really doesn't feel like being at work - it's like being with family. I know how lucky I am to be with such a fabulous team of people who want to work together to make Cheshire Grange a comfortable happy home for everyone living here.

When I have time, I enjoy being with my family and friends, as well as yoga, Pilates, movies, music and books. In my local Church, I volunteer as a children's liturgy leader and as a Eucharistic Minister.

In the 2016 Barchester Care Awards, we not only achieved three Divisional Awards (Administration Champion, Carer of the Year, Residents' Garden), but we are also very proud that the overall National Winner of the Carer of the Year category was awarded to one of our own
