Our Team

Carol Dwyer
Hi, my name is Carol, and I am the General Manager here at Westvale. Welcome to our website!
I have had a good and progressive career since I qualified as an RGN over 30 years ago (ENB 219, orthopedic nursing). Since qualifying, I have enjoyed a number of roles within the health sector, from working on a trauma unit, in hospices and in various roles within the care home setting.
I am kind and compassionate and I focus on providing a safe, warm and caring environment for everyone I support. I have many things I am proud of, from the resident who smiled for the first time after going to a dementia-friendly showing of ‘Singing in the Rain’, to having published works during my training at the Royal National Orthopedic Hospital. Outside of work, I have a passion for the rugby and koi carp.
As a manager, it is important to recognise team members within the home for their hard work, as it provides a great boost to morale. Any form of merit is a group achievement, and when celebrated together creates an amazing workplace, which rubs off on everyone.
