The moment I walked through the door I knew this was the home I wanted for my Mum. The home Manager (Sarah) even travelled 150 miles each way, on a Saturday, to meet Mum before we arranged her transfer. This attitude rubs off on all of the staff who go the extra mile.

"The person I visit has been in your care for 12 months. I visit at different times so have come across lots of staff. All have a smile and a hello. I would particularly like to thank Denise and Jane - they are the front face and are so patient. But, it is obvious that there is a real effort from all the staff of Westvale to look out for and care for the Residents. Thank you."

My Mother in Law was a resident at Westvale house from December 2024 to May 2026. After searching for a suitable home for her, Westvale was recommended by a friend and we have been very happy with the decision. All of the staff are wonderful, they are so caring and we could tell that my mother in law was very fond of her lovely carers as her face would light up when they came in the room. The home feels cosy and homely and the tea and cake station at the entrance and lovely garden are great touches. Thanks to all the wonderful staff who work so hard.

"My mum has been a resident for 2 years. She enjoys all the activities when she is able to. She has been very happy at Westvale. She has had excellent care and has made great friends with the residents and staff, who have now become part of our family."

The staff are wonderful and very attentive, they are always checking on the residents. My Nana always has multiple drinks to hand, and they always do their best to make her happy - like recently when she didn’t want her dinner, and said she only wanted to eat cake, they had cake and custard in front of her in minutes! Lovely place!

"My mum Elaine has bin here only 3 weeks but what we have seen as a family everyone has bin amazing with her very friendly indeed, staff amazing in everythink they do , so as family we are soooo happy for mum plus mum loves it that's main thing , so thanks to everyone that cares for my wonderful mum xx"

"Westvale Care Home will always hold a very special place in my heart. From the moment my dad lived there, the staff treated him not just with professionalism, but with genuine love and kindness, as if he were one of their own. The team affectionately called him "Gorgeous George with the lovely smile". When dad passed away, the care and respect shown to dad was truly touching. The staff went out of their way to ensure dad was comfortable and dignified, and they supported us with such compassion during an incredibly difficult time. We will always be grateful to the amazing team at Westvale for the care, warmth, and humanity they showed my dad. Thank you for everything you did for him and for us. Love Christine & family"

"Dad lived at Westvale from October 2024 until January 2026 when he sadly passed away at the home. In all that time we cannot fault the work of the nurses, carers, housekeepers & activity staff. They are amazing, kind, considerate and were totally understanding of Dads needs. Westvale is clean, tidy, welcoming and a lovely care home to visit. Thank you all."

"You always get a warm welcome at Westvale and I don't say that just for the lovely cakes & hot chocolate available for us visitors - that is a bonus though. You've heard the saying "happy wife, happy life" I've had a happy life since mum-in-law moved here. She is happy and well looked after, she is thriving since moving here & that makes the wife happy Thank you."

"Nice welcoming home. Staff all frendly and helpful. Sometimes dont seem to be enough of them to give more attention to Dad, eg help with walking. Always something to do for residents in the program. When residents poorly place is locked down to prevent spead which is good. Central heating still not working. All in all place is nice. Da likes it."

"Mum has been at Westvale fo a few months now and I have been so happy with the care she is receiving - she is happier than she has been in a long time, she has also gained a little weight and with it she has gotten stonger - she is positively thriving. The team at Westvale have helped made her room very homely - nothing is ever to much trouble - the poor handyman has been put through his paces putting things of on the walls, then moving them, adding stuff etc and they are - like all the staff, only to happy to help. Westvale is a wonderful, caring, thriving environment & I am happy mum is here."

"I am very happy with the care my wife is getting. Every member of staff are always so friendly and helpful. My wife is stuck in bed but the staff are always checking in to make sure she is ok and her health has improved since moving to Westvale. She is stronger and very settled now that she has her things around her. I am grateful that they are enabling me to have Christmas dinner with her in her room so she won't be alone - Thank you."

"My dad only moved in last week and he is settling in well. I am so happy that the manager assessed and accepted dad so quickly. I can't thank her enough The staff are so caring and professional and my dad is so well looked after. Dad says the staff are lovely everyday I visit which is most days It was so nice to see dad on their social media page up dancing like my old dad it's just wonderful I'm so happy that he is at Westvale for what time he has left I can't thank everybody enough Well done all of the staff"
