Residents are able to enjoy the amenities at the Beaumont Spa, which offers a range of beauty and therapy services, such as hair dressing, chiropody, reflexology and Indian head massages, amongst others; and the chance to use our hydrotherapy pool to aid fitness and well-being. Uniquely, Prestbury Beaumont is also able to offer an on-site bespoke physiotherapy service. Treatment focus ranges from muscoskeletal complaints and post-operative rehabilitation to neuro rehabilitation and fall prevention programmes. Our Team

The dedicated and experienced team are passionate about providing quality care to each individual living at the home.

Maureen Thompson-Southern

General Manager

Hi, my name is Maureen and I am the General Manager here at Prestbury Beaumont. Welcome to our website!

In addition to having a wide range of nursing skills and knowledge, I also have a diploma in Business Studies, with several years' experience at an operational level of management. This has been gained in both the acute private healthcare sector, as well as other business and commercial markets.

In more recent years, I have developed a special interest in the health of older adults, firmly believing in the individuality of each person. I consider it essential that older people are supported to remain as healthy and independent as possible, and that they receive the highest quality care at a time when they need it most.

Throughout our adult lives, most of us are able to make our own choices, but as we reach our older years, the scope of our independence can diminish as a result of changing mobility or health. With the right care being delivered, an older person can enjoy as much independence as possible whilst also receiving whatever level of support they need.

I believe the best elderly care encompasses the fulfillment of the special needs and requirements unique to senior people, and it is always important we treat our elders with dignity and respect.

At Prestbury Beaumont, all staff share my passion and commitment to deliver such compassionate care, understanding this is fundamental to ensure that people feel safe and supported and, ultimately, enhancing their quality of life.

My journey at Prestbury Beaumont started in 2002, when I worked as a Care Assistant. I then became a Nurse and was eventually promoted to Head of Care and finally Deputy Manager.

My determination to ensure that the quality of care is of the highest standard has driven me to always find ways to further myself in my career in order to be in a position in which I can make a difference to the lives of those I support.
