Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Bamfield Lodge Care Home
Gin & Whiskey Tasting afternoon
Residents were treated to an afternoon of spirit tasting. Staff poured tasting measures of different flavoured Gins & whiskeys and they were asked the pick their favourite. So many different responses, however the firm favourite seemed to be the orange one. Some went back for just a drop more. All washed down with delicious homemade cupcakes.

Postcards & Pen Pals
It’s easy to get lonely in a time of isolation, which is why we have been writing postcards with our residents this week to keep in touch with loved ones.
We’ve also received some great letters and pictures from our pen pals and local community, which we have displayed here at Bamfield Lodge.
Our residents have enjoyed receiving these and sending responses back to their pen pals. It has really helped to brighten our days!
Showing Our Appreciation
Bamfield Lodge would like to thank everyone in the local area for all of the care and support since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. The last few months have been a challenge, as with all care services, but we have been overwhelmed with supportive pictures, messages, and care packages.
Bamfield Lodge Care Home
Over the Easter weekend, we had around 60 chocolate eggs donated by Red Falcons (ladies football team) based in Keynsham. On Easter Sunday, the care team handed out the Easter eggs to all residents and to all the team members. The residents enjoyed the chocolate treats after lunch and played some bingo in the afternoon with the care team.
