I have been Activities Lead at Bamfield Lodge for one year now. I have worked in the same role for several years with another care provider, so have lots of experience in delivering person centred activities for older adults living in residential settings. I also worked for two years as a heath care assistant at a nursing unit, so I have a good understanding of both clinical and holistic needs.
I have a background in teaching and learning, along with community based youth and legal work and so I have built up a very detailed knowledge of our locality, having lived and worked here for over thirty years.
I am passionate about providing the highest quality care and I endeavour to work closely with our residents, families and the wider community to ensure successful outcomes.
Outside of work I enjoy walking my dog, family time and singing and performing. I also belong to a ladies Barbershop choir.
