Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Bamfield Lodge Care Home
Zoom Exercise Class
We know just how important exercise is for the older generation. It doesn't matter how much or how little they join in. Its the taking part that counts. As we can not have our usual instructor into the home we have bought exercise to the home via Zoom. The residents loved the class and we know it will now be a firm favourite on the timetable.
Couple celebrate 65 happy years
A couple from Bamfield Lodge have recently celebrated 65 years of marriage. Kathleen and Michael now both aged 89, met when they both lived in Church Hill Brislington. They honeymooned in the Isle of Wight & went on to have 3 children. They now have 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Kathleen has always been a keen baker, whilst Michael wold spend Saturday afternoon’s watching his beloved Bristol City. They moved into their forever home at Bamfield recently and are overjoyed at being together.
Birthday Celebrations
Celebrations were in full swing as one of the residents at Bamfield celebrated a special Birthday. Music, dancing and lots of tea & cake were the order of the day.
Going Fishing
Catch the fish, This fairground classic is also a favourite with the Residents at Bamfield lodge. It helps improve dexterity, concentration and is a whole lot of fun too.
Reunited again
This lovely couple now have a smile on their face and a spring in their step. Big thank you to Bamfield lodge who have made their lives complete again by reuniting them after 4 weeks apart. They love their new home and being back together again.
Community Deliveries of kindness
Our local supermarket delivered many beautiful bunches of flowers for our residents. We made sure everyone received a display for their bedrooms. It really did brighten their day, and the home looks and smells lovely too.
