Kingswood Court Care Home in Kingswood, Bristol
You’ll find Kingswood Court Care Home situated in a quiet residential suburb in Kingswood. Our Care team offer residential care for people who need help with daily tasks, nursing care for those who have complex medical needs, and respite care to give family or friends a well-earned break.
We run a busy activities programme, including day trips out, visits from entertainers, and because we have good community links, we receive visits from local schools, which always puts a smile on our residents’ faces.
We always ask residents and their families about their food preferences and dietary requirements. Our chef and catering team then work with dieticians to create meals that are nutritious and tasty, using fresh seasonal ingredients. To add more variety, we also make a point of celebrating with special meals and events throughout the year. Residents can eat in our pleasant dining rooms or, if they prefer, we’re pleased to serve them their meal in the privacy of their own rooms.
As our home is only 20 minutes away from Bristol, it makes for great day trips out for residents and their loved ones to spend quality time together.

Hi, my name is Shaun, and I am the General Manager here at Kingswood Court. Welcome to our website!
I have worked at Kingswood Court since April 2020. Previous to Kingswood Court, I was the manager of a nursing home in Bath, where I had been the manager for just over three years.
My career in care started when I was training to be a chef. On a weekly basis the students would rotate and support cooking classes for young adults with learning difficulties. When I was taken off the rotation, I realised that I enjoyed supporting the classes, so asked to continue the support, which I did.
Once qualified, I applied to work as a bank care assistant to assist people with learning disabilities, and that’s where my career in care began. From a bank worker to a permanant post, and then to a senior position, and a continuation of development and career progression over the years. To date, I have managed seven different care services.
Between 2012 to 2013, I was the Dementia Lead for the local authority in Bath and North East Somerset. During this time, I wrote and taught multiple training programmes for over 1000 team members.
I’m fluent in British Sign Language and acquired levels 1 & 2 certification during 2003 – 2007. I gained the NVQ 4 award and RMA in 2007
I look forward to welcoming you into our home!Get in touch Meet my team
