Hi, my name is Felicity, and I am the Acting General Manager here at Kingswood Court. Welcome to our website!
I have over 20 years’ experience in the care and housing sector, and I am passionate about leading care and housing within the industry. I take pride in all I have implemented and achieved during my career.
I believe in an open door policy with everyone here at our home, so do feel free to ask any questions you may have. I am more than happy to help!
We hope that you’ll find Kingswood Court is ideally suited to meet your needs, both now and in the future.
I did a few jobs before becoming a carer and then training to be a registered nurse. Those jobs never felt worthwhile. The first day I started as a carer changed my mind completely. It was humbling and an honour to be able to help someone just a little or quite a lot, to continue enjoying their life to the full. Helping to support someone to walk outside to enjoy the sun.
Assisting with a wash to maintain someone’s dignity. Administering medication when someone was unable to do this themselves. The list is endless. There is no career quite like it in the world, if I had my time again I would choose care sooner! I have worked in the care sector for nearly 30 years, just over two years have been at Kingswood Court.
Before I joined Kingswood Court I previously ran the discharge lounge at a local hospital, worked as bed manager for a local hospital clinical site team, agency nurse, bank nurse and worked on many different wards/hospitals and care homes.
My interests are clothes and shoes. I like to try and wear unique and quirky outfits which keep both staff and residents entertained, both this and my take on the Northern Soul dance!

Before I came here I worked as a taxi controller and did administration work. I have played darts for 48 years, I am the captain of the local pub team and married with 6 happy grandkids.

I joined care back in 1998 when my mother had passed away. I was looking after her for many years and she eventually passed away due to her condition.
