Activities at Alice Grange Care Home

Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Penny Allen

Lead Activities Coordinator

Hi, my name is Penny and I am the Lead Activities Coordinator here at Alice Grange.

I have many years of experience working in care homes in Activities, leisure and lifestyle roles.

I love being part of the Alice Grange team and supporting our residents to live their best lives with fun, interesting, and varied activities available every week. I always feel that the residents' input into our weekly planner is important as it gives all residents equal opportunity to explore new interests as well as keeping up with previous passions and hobbies.

The Bruv's Duo Perform!

Residents and friends of Alice Grange really enjoyed The Bruvs singing all of their favourite tunes and taking requests along the way! The Bruvs sing in order to raise funds for E.A.C.H - The Tree House Ipswich Children's Hospital. This was The Bruv's first visit to Alice Grange and residents are keen to welcome them back again!

Christingle Crafts

This morning some of our residents have been busy getting ready for Christingle! We enjoyed learning how each element of the pieces had a specific meaning as well as hearing about the history of the celebration.

Elvis at Alice Grange

On the 12th November, we had the pleasure of welcoming Elvis to Alice Grange. He sung to our residents, bringing back meaningful memories and reliving glorious times.

Everybody cherished every minute of the performance. Elvis was not reserved in interacting with our residents, putting together an afternoon to remember for a long time.

We are all looking forward to seeing him again on the 2nd January 2020.

Halloween Show!

At Alice Grange we were wow'd by a fantastic Halloween Show! The show involved lots of costume changes, songs and dances! Everybody had a great time.

Memory Walk

Alice Grange hosted a 'Memory Walk' to raise funds and awareness of Dementia. Residents, relatives and friends all gathered for a bacon sandwich to start the morning, before heading out on a route around Kesgrave. Everybody had a lovely time and it was great to be able to contribute to a great cause!
