Activities at Alice Grange Care Home
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.
Penny Allen
Hi, my name is Penny and I am the Lead Activities Coordinator here at Alice Grange.
I have many years of experience working in care homes in Activities, leisure and lifestyle roles.
I love being part of the Alice Grange team and supporting our residents to live their best lives with fun, interesting, and varied activities available every week. I always feel that the residents' input into our weekly planner is important as it gives all residents equal opportunity to explore new interests as well as keeping up with previous passions and hobbies.

Red Nose Day!
Staff and Residents at Woodland View had fun raising money for charity on Red Nose Day. Staff donated to dress up in their PJs or Onsies for a day which was enjoyed by all - including the residents!
Lunch Trip
Some of the residents at Alice Grange headed out to Cafe 66 for lunch. We wrapped up warm against the wind and enjoyed some hot drinks and food.
Congratulations!
Congratulations to three of the fantastic members of staff at Alice Grange who have been working with Barchester for 10 years! Well done to Kristy, Grace and Sammi! All three were awarded with a giftcard, special pin and certificate for their amazing contributions to the company.
Local Voices
We love to welcome in all local voices, choirs, musicians and volunteers to perform for our residents. Recently, we were lucky enough to have the Senior Co-op Singers to perform for us. If you know anybody locally who enjoys performing, please get in touch as we would love to hear from you.
Family Time
At Alice Grange, we welcome in visitors of all ages. Recently one of our residents enjoyed having his great grandchildren visit, we were able to run a craft afternoon for the family to enjoy together. It was great to see the different generations having fun painting together.
