Activities at Alice Grange Care Home

Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Penny Allen

Lead Activities Coordinator

Hi, my name is Penny and I am the Lead Activities Coordinator here at Alice Grange.

I have many years of experience working in care homes in Activities, leisure and lifestyle roles.

I love being part of the Alice Grange team and supporting our residents to live their best lives with fun, interesting, and varied activities available every week. I always feel that the residents' input into our weekly planner is important as it gives all residents equal opportunity to explore new interests as well as keeping up with previous passions and hobbies.

Toe Tapping Entertainment!

What a show with Mr Shaw! We had a great opportunity to listen to one of the greatest voices! Brian Shaw Entertainer, as always, gave a 100% of himself! We truly loved the performance, danced and sang along to greatest hits, including Abba and Elvis, of course.

Queen Elizabeth 11

During the national period of mourning, we’ve spent time reminiscing and celebrating the memory and reign of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

Magic Day at Alice Grange!!

fabulous music from Stan & Gusty.  Followed by the incredible magicians David J. Marks  Residents and staff have experienced some real magic today, ..absolutely amazing!!

Residents ambassador

We have celebrated a very special person! Our Margaret- Residents ambassador, was designated as the best resident ambassador in the Barchester Central Division. Margaret was so surprised, as you can see on the picture! Now, she is one of 4 other ambassadors to compete for the title of The Resident Ambassador of the Year. For us, she is an absolute star! Always kind and warm, very supportive and happy to help. We love her personality, great sense of humour but mostly, that she always put others first! World would be much better place with more people like Margaret around.
