Activities at Alice Grange Care Home

Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Penny Allen

Lead Activities Coordinator

Hi, my name is Penny and I am the Lead Activities Coordinator here at Alice Grange.

I have many years of experience working in care homes in Activities, leisure and lifestyle roles.

I love being part of the Alice Grange team and supporting our residents to live their best lives with fun, interesting, and varied activities available every week. I always feel that the residents' input into our weekly planner is important as it gives all residents equal opportunity to explore new interests as well as keeping up with previous passions and hobbies.

Sing a long!!

We had an amazing afternoon with Bruce. What a joy to dance and sing along to the greatest hits!

It's enough to say that we are all in love now!

Spooky time at Alice Grange!

Halloween turned to be a very busy time for us this year! And we are happy, delighted to have so many little monsters!  We had over 160 little visitors for a treat? That’s absolutely amazing!!

Alice Grange is a Winner!!!

We are so happy and proud to announce Margaret Bilner was awarded WINNER! in the category 'Best Resident Ambassador of the Year' at the Barchester Care Award 2022!!

Congratulation to our little star! We are so happy and proud! We had an explosion of joy, some tears of happiness and loads and loads of congratulations and cuddles today!

Community Café

We went out to see our friends in 66 Community Café in Kesgrave. It was lovely to see the Café so busy, all tables taken and still people waiting for a table! We had a great time there, met few friends we haven’t seen for a while, enjoying great selection of drinks. We finished our trip with a small shopping in a nearby shop and, as the ladies do, we did not go back home empty-handed.

Mexican Independence Day

We’ve been celebrating “Mexican Independence Day” with Mexican music, few interesting facts about the country, but most of all, with food and drink tasting as well! We had margaritas, guacamole, nachos and even traditional cold mixed vegetable soup. We love the ability to travel around the world without boarding the plane!

Eat outside day

We’ve been celebrating “Eat outside day”. However, weather prevent us from spending time out on the day, we still had a great fun indoors, playing table games and enjoying selection of snacks. It was a wonderful time to enjoy a cocktail, laugh and playing table games from our collection.
