Activities at Alice Grange Care Home
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Penny Allen
Hi, my name is Penny and I am the Lead Activities Coordinator here at Alice Grange.
I have many years of experience working in care homes in Activities, leisure and lifestyle roles.
I love being part of the Alice Grange team and supporting our residents to live their best lives with fun, interesting, and varied activities available every week. I always feel that the residents' input into our weekly planner is important as it gives all residents equal opportunity to explore new interests as well as keeping up with previous passions and hobbies.
Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Alice Grange Care Home

Sing-Along with Sally
It was another beautiful and sunny afternoon, we were treated to a lovely sing-a-long with Sally. Residents were singing, dancing, and foot tapping.
We find that music brings back so many memories of special events, people, and places from the past.

Trip to Woodbridge Museum
We had a lovely mini bus outing to Woodbridge Museum. Our residents at Alice Grange enjoyed reminiscing about times gone by.
The Museum was inspired by Ruby Hayward and made possible by the generosity of her relatives and was opened by Sir Ian Jacob G.B.E. C.B D.L. on 20th May 1982 which was on Market Hill but now stands at the new Woodbridge Quay development.

Alice Grange trials Rickshaw
Some of the staff at Alice Grange were treated to a Rickshaw ride around the local area after being waved off by some of the residents.
The Rickshaw is an experience that we were triall9ing for the first time. On our return residents were quick to ask when will it be their turn.
In the coming weeks, we will be taking residents out to enjoy the fun that the Rickshaw brings.

An informative talk from Felixstowe Seafarers
Following on from a lovely morning with our knit and natter group. We welcomed David from Felixstowe Seafarers.
David is a volunteer and gave our residents a very informative talk. We have been invited to go for a visit of which our residents are really looking forward to.

Croquet in our garden
What a lovely day for our residents to enjoy some croquet! They had a lot of fun and laughter as they showed off their skills and challenged each other. Croquet is a great way to stay active and social, as it involves both strategy and coordination. We are so proud of our ladies for their enthusiasm and spirit!

There is no better friend than a sister!
We recently took a trip to Dobbies Garden centre in Woodbridge.
There was lots of fun and laughter followed by a refreshing beverage in the café.
Sylvia is staying at Alice Grange for a few weeks respite, her sister Margaret has lived here for a number of years and the love and laughter between these two is pure magic.
