Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Sherwood Court Care Home
Dobbies Garden Centre
Staff and residents recently had a trip out to Dobbies Garden Centre to check out the Christmas decorations, have a look around and feed the fish. Everyone had a great day out!
Staff Celebrations
Congratulations to Christine Roberts, who recently received her 10 year Long Service Award; and to Lee Riley, who was named August's Employee of the Month here at Sherwood Lodge.
Health Hero Awards
Congratulations to Senior Care Assistant, Lynn Cornwell, who was nominated for a Carer/Care Team of the Year Award at the Health Hero Awards.
World Food Day
The celebrations for World Food Day involved staff wearing traditional dress from different countries and embracing our multi-cultural team with food from Romania, China and India. The day was enjoyed by residents, relatives and staff, young and old. Residents enjoyed cooking pizzas and stir frys, reading ‘fun food facts’ about the home, and a collection was held for the local food bank.
Open Day at Sherwood Court
On Friday 17th June, Sherwood Court opened its doors to the local community for anyone and everyone to come along and check out the home. It was a fun-filled day with lots of activities set up for visitors to enjoy. Everyone seemed to have a great day!
Elderly Carer of the Year
Our very own Lyndsey Morgan won the the Health Hero Elderly Carer of the Year Award - congratulations, Lyndsey!
