Sherwood Court is located in Fulwood, one of Preston’s most stunning suburbs, and is considered by many to be ‘the home of choice’ in and around the Preston area for dementia and nursing care. Sherwood Court provides 24-hour nursing and residential care in a warm and friendly environment. Alongside this, we offer bespoke care for people living with dementia.
Dementia Care
We have a highly qualified and well-motivated team who feel passionately about helping people retain independence, dignity and choice. They focus on the individual needs of each resident, using bespoke care plans tailored to their needs.
Our high standards can be seen in all areas of the home, from cooking and hospitality, to the activities organised for residents. Our wonderful Activities Coordinators work to ensure there is a variety of planned activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies.
We welcome visitors at any time and would love you to drop in and experience the home for yourself. Choosing a care home can prove to be a particularly daunting experience for all, so we pride ourselves on the help and guidance we provide for family members as they navigate their way through the enquiry process.

Types of care
Here at Sherwood Court, we pride ourselves on providing person-centred care for each person we support; we will develop personalised care plans based on the unique needs of each individual. Our Memory Lane commuity supports those living with dementia in a positive and engaging way, encouraging them to partake in activities that are tailored to their interests and life history. Those living within our nursing unit often have a wide variety of physical health needs that will be treated by our dedicated and experienced nursing team. In our most recent CQC inspection, Sherwood Court was rated 'Good' in all areas, which a standard of care we aim to deliver at all times by involving residents and families each step of the way.

Hi, my name is Elizabeth, and I am the General Manager here at Sherwood Court. Welcome to our webpage!
I have worked within elderly care since 1995 and I am very passionate about improving standards of care for people living within our home. I am a hands-on manager, promoting and expecting high standards of care for those we support. I have managed various services over the last 10 years and am driven by the belief that every person matters.
