Sutton Grange Care Home
Sutton Grange Care Home in Southport
Sutton Grange Care Home in Southport has been specifically designed to provide high quality residential, nursing and respite care for the elderly, including individuals living with dementia.
Our luxurious facilities combined with highly trained staff ensures that each and every individual is given superior attention. Our 24-hour care is provided in a warm and welcoming environment, with delicious meals and daily activities, including a choice of therapeutic approaches. Together with our lively social calendar, this helps to stimulate residents' minds, and empower them to approach their future in a positive way.
The home also features a dedicated Memory Lane Community which provides bespoke nursing care for individuals living with dementia. Within our community, memory boxes with small reminders and items, such as photographs, are used to help each person reminisce. Design features, such as adapted crockery and tableware, sensory gardens with low risk walkways and activity kitchens, also enable people to engage in life’s everyday pleasures. Essential to our homely feel is the enhanced relationship of trust we build with family, friends and residents.
We are always happy to discuss how we can best meet your needs, so please feel free to give us a call or drop in. We look forward to hearing from you!

Bennett Mott
Welcome to Sutton Grange's website; my name is Bennett and I am the General Manager here at the home.
I have worked as a Nurse/Manager in care services since I first qualified. I have a great belief in a strong infrastructure of clinical decision-making that supports, protects and enables people to live the life they choose to its fullest extent. Our job is to minimise all that could hinder a full life and to maximise independence, spirit and the uniqueness of everyone who chooses our care home.
My previous roles as a Gold Standard Trainer, Nurse Manager, Advocate and Safe Guarding Lead have given me a network of contacts and professional links that help me understand how to coordinate a multidisciplinary support team and to ensure everyone has what they need at the time they need it.
The move into a more structured care environment is always difficult for both residents and their loved ones; and I believe that, to make this transition as easy as possible, we need to ensure that they retain as much control as possible during this process.
Barchester has shown me that it is determined to improve the experience of living in a care environment. Their commitment shines in the building of Sutton Grange and I feel privileged to have been asked to shape its future. I am looking forward to building on achievements and helping to create a strong, vibrant and inclusive home that is seen as a community asset and has a reputation for clinical excellence. I want Sutton Grange to be the location other professionals contact to learn from.
I grew up listening to stories at my grandmothers knee; life hasn’t shown me anything more interesting since.
