Our Team

The dedicated and experienced team are passionate about providing quality care to each individual living at the home.

Bennett Mott

General Manager

Welcome to Sutton Grange's website; my name is Bennett and I am the General Manager here at the home.

I have worked as a Nurse/Manager in care services since I first qualified. I have a great belief in a strong infrastructure of clinical decision-making that supports, protects and enables people to live the life they choose to its fullest extent. Our job is to minimise all that could hinder a full life and to maximise independence, spirit and the uniqueness of everyone who chooses our care home.

My previous roles as a Gold Standard Trainer, Nurse Manager, Advocate and Safe Guarding Lead have given me a network of contacts and professional links that help me understand how to coordinate a multidisciplinary support team and to ensure everyone has what they need at the time they need it.

The move into a more structured care environment is always difficult for both residents and their loved ones; and I believe that, to make this transition as easy as possible, we need to ensure that they retain as much control as possible during this process.

Barchester has shown me that it is determined to improve the experience of living in a care environment. Their commitment shines in the building of Sutton Grange and I feel privileged to have been asked to shape its future. I am looking forward to building on achievements and helping to create a strong, vibrant and inclusive home that is seen as a community asset and has a reputation for clinical excellence. I want Sutton Grange to be the location other professionals contact to learn from.

I grew up listening to stories at my grandmothers knee; life hasn’t shown me anything more interesting since.

Alison Wareing

Activities Coordinator

I grew up in the local area, and started working with animals at a young age, gradually working my way up from Kennel Maid to stepping in for the owners at times.

After I had my daughter, I trained as a teacher, and taught lipreading and communication before I joined Barchester.

Now, fill my days listening to residents, helping them to live their lives to the fullest. I try to make a difference to someone’s life each day. I am up for anything my residents can throw at me; I will always participate in activities, and if I can’t do it, I will find someone who can.

Adam Smith

Maintenance Manager

Hi, my name is Adam, and I am the Maintenance Manager here at Sutton Grange. I have been with the company for over five years.

Before working at Sutton Grange, I was a Maintenance Assistant at Cheshire Grange, another Barchester care home in Lym, Cheshire.

I've had a varied background of work experience: I've worked in a psychiatric hospital, I was self-employed with my own maintenance business that focused on home restorations, and I also became a qualified gas technician.

I believe that this core background knowledge, continued interest, and the desire to learn is what helped me to win the Divisional Maintenance Champion award at the 2015 Barchester Care Awards.

Ken Bullough

Resident Ambassador

Ken was one of our first residents here at Sutton Grange, and wholeheartedly embraces an array of activities throughout the home.

Through his own interests, Ken has been instrumental in helping us to provide interesting activities, aiding in building a sense of community and comradery amongst both staff and residents alike.

Ken’s interests have given us a basis for our weekly gardening club, a music club, and a film club. Ken’s love of painting means that our lovely activity room is never short of something beautiful to look at!

Ken says, "I don’t work hard, I just like to keep myself entertained."

As Ken enjoys keeping busy, he has joined the panel at interviews, asking potential staff important questions from a resident's perspective. His latest role here at Sutton Grange sees him talking to families who may be looking for care, about life here at Sutton Grange.

To thank him for his help and wonderful presence, we presented him with a set of paints and brushes for his favourite hobby.
