Activities at Latimer Court Care Home

Here at Latimer Court, we have a varied social programme that includes themed events once a month, painting classes, day trips out, exercise classes and arts & crafts, to name but a few. We strive to tailor our activities to suit everyone's needs, and update our notice boards weekly so that all families and visitors can see what their loved ones have been up to. Activities Coordinator & Dementia Champion

I'm Dan and I'm the Activities Coordinator here at Latimer Court. I joined the team in 2022. I have worked in care for many years as a carer and activities roles, and absolutely love my role here. I love working with the elderly and have a real passion to enrich every day and make their lives as special as they can be.

I have many ideas for group activities and events as well as for individual interactions, and love seeing these ideas coming to life and the difference it makes to each resident's day!

Hats & Games

Residents at Latimer Court are always keen to get involved in fun games and try on lots of hats.

Rummage Boxes

Our Memory Lane residents love the rummage boxes and musical instruments. We have gentleman’s boxes with piping and handles and bits and bobs for repairs; and ladies boxes with wool, washing to fold and fabric to sort, although they like to mix and match.

Mother's Day

On Sunday 11th March, we held a Mother’s Day afternoon tea with donations going to the Barchester Foundation. Each mum received a gift and card on the day. This a lovely picture of Joyce from our residential community, Beaufort, enjoying the tea.

Dog Show

On Friday 9th March, we held a dog show at Latimer to commemorate the start of Crufts. There were prizes and treats and lots of fun was had. These are some of the winners from the day proudly displaying their rosettes.

Musical Moments

Musical Moments

On the third Friday of every month, we have a Musical Moments session run by Rosie. This is a fun, interactive musical session with singing and reminiscence. Residents and loved ones love joining in!

Join us for our dementia cafe, enjoy cakes, refreshments, activities & a warm welcome. Family / carers come along too, make new friends in a safe space.  

Dementia Friendly Film Club
