Meet the Latimer Court Care Home Team

Hi, my name is Manu and I joined Latimer Court in 2024. 

I started my nursing career in the UK in 2013 as a supervised practise nurse. During my career, I have gained great experience in all areas and worked up my way from a nurse to Clinical Services Manager and then Deputy Manager. 

Further to that, I have worked for two years as a professional development nurse in NHS hospitals, where I have been training overseas nurses to achieve their competency to be UK registered nurses. 

I have always enjoyed and embraced the challenges in my career and am so happy to be the Deputy Manager of Latimer court. I look forward to bringing smiles to the people I work for and work with….

Hi my name is Cheryl and I am the Activity Lead and I have worked at Latimer Court since 2024. I am passionate about my role and I really enjoy organising the activities and most importantly seeing our residents participating and having a fabulous time. I organise outings and events which the residents enjoy best and I also involve the community to take part.

Outside work, I have a son and I enjoy family time, particularly outings! I have a keen interest in horses and I previously owned one and enjoyed show jumping, nowadays I prefer watching and keeping my feet firmly on the ground!.

Hi, my name is Richard. I have been based at Latimer Court from when the home first opened in 2013. I am a qualified electrician and this has been invaluable. My role is to ensure that the home is a safe and well-maintained environment for all. I love being able to help in anyway that I can, from repairing a resident's TV to taking them out for the day as the mini bus driver.

Meet Margaret one of our resident ambassadors, she has lived in Worcester for most of her life and lived in the same house for over 60 years.  She worked at a local newspaper as a receptionist for over 20 years. Margaret loves spending time with her family and also looks forward to our 'Knit & Natter' group every week with her friends at Latimer Court. 

Hi, my name is Becky, I am the Home Administrator. I joined the Latimer team in January 2024. Before working at Latimer Court, I worked for over 9 years in front line child protection, safeguarding babies and young children as well as offering support and guidance to families. In my spare time outside of work, I enjoy going to the gym, reading and holidaying in the sun!

Within my role I support Donna and the wider team, carrying out various administrative tasks including general enquiries, residents contracts and paperwork, staffing rotas and recruitment.

Alongside Danni, I am often the first point of contact for families looking for the right home for their loved one. I understand that this can be a difficult and overwhelming time for some and want to offer reassurance that we are here to answer any questions you may have and support you in any way we can.

My door is always open so please pop in and say hello if you are passing.

Hi my name is Jon, and I have worked as a Chef since 2011, particularly in care homes since 2014.

I have qualifications in Professional Cookery and as a Senior Production Chef.

I love working at Latimer Court and getting to know our residents so that I can provide healthy and nutritious meals based around each residents individual like and dislikes.

Hi, my name is Dawn, I joined Latimer Court in 2014 as a Housekeeper before being promoted to Head Housekeeper in October 2017. I lead the housekeeping and laundry teams, ensuring that all areas of Latimer Court are clean, tidy and well-presented creating a lovely home for our residents. 

I lived in Worcester in 1968 for forty-five years and left Worcester to live in Liverpool with my husband. When my husband passed away, I came back to Worcester to be closer to family and moved into Latimer Court, where I am now the resident Ambassador which I enjoy attending the residents meetings each month and having meals in the dining room and chatting with the other ladies.

Before retirement, I worked as an admin Clerk in the wages department in Worcester. I have one son, Richard, who is married, and I have one daughter, Jo-Anne. Three granddaughters and one grandson. I also have one family dog, Alfie, and the residents like to see him around the home. 

I look forward to introducing myself when you come to visit.
