Hello, my name is Kerry and I am the General Manager here at Latimer Court. Welcome to our website!
I achieved a first class honours degree at the University of Worcester and had 23 years of nursing experience in different adult care settings before joining Barchester in 2017. I am an experienced care home manager and love leading a skilled team to outstanding levels of care and commitment for my residents.
My particular passion lies within creative approaches to the care of those living with dementia. My aim is for everyone living with us to maintain their interests for as long as possible and to support our residents individually to live their best lives whatever their challenges. Latimer Court is the hub of the Worcester community and enjoys amazing support from our families, neighbours and friends throughout the city and I am proud to be part of those relationships and to lead it into the future.
I joined the Latimer Court team in December 2017 as a Admin Assistant, I quickly found Barchester to be a great platform for learning, being trained in all aspects of ‘home life’ from enquiry handling and show rounds to payroll and recruitment. I found the financial side of great interest and took the opportunity for promotion to Home Finance Administrator in November 2019. I enjoy meeting new residents and liaising with their families, working hard to ensure they are kept informed on their loved ones stay whilst at Latimer Court.
My educational background stems from social politics, social work through tourism and hotel management.
When I joined Latimer Court in 2015 I decided to combine both of my passions into one with the expectation to support our residents and fill their life with joy.
Working for Barchester allows me to be able to personalise our residents’ journey at the highest level. My job is to offer a variety of support both clinically and mentally.
I qualified as an RGN in Romania before moving to the UK. I became qualified to practice as a Nurse in England in 2016 and I have always had a passion for my work. Since joining Latimer Court, I have been able to support residents with their nursing requirements, with a focus on person-centred care.
I joined Latimer Court as a Senior Carer in 2015. I'm now acting unit lead for our Woodbury community. I truly love caring for the residents I support; the smile on their faces makes my day. In my spare time, I love spending time with my family. I have a passion for many forms of needlecraft.
Hi my name is Maddie and I've worked here at Latimer Court since October 2018. I initially joined the home as a receptionist, then worked as an activities coordinator before moving into the Care Assistant role I have today. I’m currently training to be a Senior Carer. I love working here, the residents are like family and I enjoy listening to their life stories.
Hi my name is Abby, I joined the Latimer Court care team in November 2019. As a Care Assistant I work across all communities. I have a passion for working on our Memory Lane communities as I have a special interest in people living with Dementia. Helping our residents to live a fulfilled live is a real privilege.
Hi, I'm Tony the Head Chef here at Latimer Court. I have always loved cooking, I started my career at the age of 15 on a Youth Training Scheme. Mastering my skills over the years I have been in the Michelin Guide twice and had 2 AA rosettes on two separate occasions.
I love to get to know my clientele; their likes and dislikes. By working with the residents of Latimer Court we can provide a varied and exciting menu full of nutritious ingredients and flavours; maybe a few they’ve never tried before.
I've started to hold monthly cooking classes on the communities alongside the activities team whereby our residents can follow me in creating a dish of their choice, our ‘living kitchens’ are superb for this type of interactivity. We'd like to invite family members and the local community to join us, hopefully in the not too distant future.
Hi, I’m Barry the activities coordinator here at Latimer Court. I have been working with vulnerable people since 1980; with a focus on Memory care. I look forward to forming new clubs like gardening and movie clubs, ladies luncheons, gent’s traditional Turkish shaves. All the things that make you feel special.
I am also looking forward to meeting all the families of our beloved residents. Please feel free to drop me a line if you would like to find out more about Activities at Latimer Court. New ideas and interactions are always welcome, please feel free to email me at any time LatimerCourt.Activities@barchester.com
My name is Danielle and I started at Latimer Court in August 2018. My role is hostess across all communities. I work with our chef and kitchen staff to ensure our wide range of nutritious meals are served direct to table or room; as preferred throughout the day. Meal times are a very important factor in promoting the health and wellbeing of residents, to stimulate their minds and keep them active. My main mission is to ensure everyone enjoys the dining experience, a meeting place where they can chat and socialise whilst breaking bread.
Our dining rooms include a ‘living kitchen’ meaning residents can prepare their own snacks throughout the day, I am always on hand to assist. We have regular baking sessions whereby I will work alongside our activities team to encourage our residents to get involved promoting independence and a sense of achievement in whatever they have baked.
I joined Latimer Court in 2014 as a Housekeeper before being promoted to Head Housekeeper in October 2017. I lead the housekeeping and laundry teams, ensuring that all areas of Latimer Court are clean, tidy and well-presented.
I have been based at Latimer Court from when the home first opened in 2013. I am a qualified electrician and this has been invaluable. My role is to ensure that the home is a safe and well-maintained environment for all. I love being able to help in anyway that I can, from repairing a resident's TV to taking them out for the day as the mini bus driver.
