Hello, my name is Kerry and I am the General Manager here at Latimer Court. Welcome to our website!
I am a registered Mental Health Nurse – graduating from the University of Worcester with first class honours. I’ve worked in many various settings over the years such as learning disabilities, forensic mental health, acute hospital wards - with most of my roles involving the care of the older adult.
I’ve worked in the care setting for over 23 years, starting my career as a care assistant, and working my way to the position I have now. I’ve worked for a number of large organisations that provide care to older adults, joining Barchester in 2017. My nursing passion lies within developing creative approaches to the care of those living with dementia.
I joined the Latimer Court team in December 2017 as a Admin Assistant, I quickly found Barchester to be a great platform for learning, being trained in all aspects of ‘home life’ from enquiry handling and show rounds to payroll and recruitment. I found the financial side of great interest and took the opportunity for promotion to Home Finance Administrator in November 2019. I enjoy meeting new residents and liaising with their families, working hard to ensure they are kept informed on their loved ones stay whilst at Latimer Court.
My educational background stems from social politics, social work through tourism and hotel management.
When I joined Latimer Court in 2015 I decided to combine both of my passions into one with the expectation to support our residents and fill their life with joy.
Working for Barchester allows me to be able to personalise our residents’ journey at the highest level. My job is to offer a variety of support both clinically and mentally.
