Activities at Latimer Court Care Home
Here at Latimer Court, we have a varied social programme that includes themed events once a month, painting classes, day trips out, exercise classes and arts & crafts, to name but a few. We strive to tailor our activities to suit everyone's needs, and update our notice boards weekly so that all families and visitors can see what their loved ones have been up to. Our aim is to make sure that those we support can enjoy a happy and fulfilled stay with us. You can take a look at some of our regular activities by clicking here.
Dan Taylor-Edwards
I'm Dan and I'm the Activities Coordinator here at Latimer Court. I joined the team in 2022. I have worked in care for many years as a carer and activities roles, and absolutely love my role here. I love working with the elderly and have a real passion to enrich every day and make their lives as special as they can be.
I have many ideas for group activities and events as well as for individual interactions, and love seeing these ideas coming to life and the difference it makes to each resident's day!

Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Latimer Court Care Home
Carers Week
For Carers Week, we welcomed the Worcestershire Association of Carers into the home to hold a pamper day. This was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone who attended. Treatments included seated massages, head massages, pedicures and manicures, followed by a healthy buffet and refreshments.
The ladies who attended had a lovely day of pampering and relaxation and the weather was also on our side so the refreshments could be enjoyed in the lovely sunshine.
Salwarpe Boat Trip
Residents enjoyed a relaxing boat trip to Salwarpe, followed by a lovely picnic on the riverside. Everyone had a great time and we hope to do several more boat trips in the upcoming weeks.
Animalmania
Animalmania visited our nursing community and the residents thoroughly enjoyed meeting all the beautiful creatures.
Garden Centre Visit
Residents enjoyed a trip to a local garden centre to see all the beautiful summer plants and a mooch around the gift shop. This was, of course, followed by a coffee in the coffee shop!
The Skills Network
We had a visit from The Skills Network ladies, who always come to us with fantastic craft ideas. During their most recent visit, we made a beautiful button canvas of a tree to display in the home.
Countryside Centre
Residents enjoyed a minibus trip to the Countryside Centre for a little ride out and a delicious coffee and flapjacks.

Monthly Dementia Cafe
Join us for our dementia cafe, enjoy cakes, refreshments, activities & a warm welcome. Family / carers come along too, make new friends in a safe space.
Dementia Friendly Film Club
Join us for our dementia friendly film mornings. Relax in our cinema room, enjoy a classic movie & delicious refreshments. Booking essential please on 01905 363270.

We are opening our doors to our seniors in the community to combat loneliness - 3rd Friday of the month. Places are limited.
