Activities at Latimer Court Care Home
Here at Latimer Court, we have a varied social programme that includes themed events once a month, painting classes, day trips out, exercise classes and arts & crafts, to name but a few. We strive to tailor our activities to suit everyone's needs, and update our notice boards weekly so that all families and visitors can see what their loved ones have been up to. Dan Taylor-Edwards
I'm Dan and I'm the Activities Coordinator here at Latimer Court. I joined the team in 2022. I have worked in care for many years as a carer and activities roles, and absolutely love my role here. I love working with the elderly and have a real passion to enrich every day and make their lives as special as they can be.
I have many ideas for group activities and events as well as for individual interactions, and love seeing these ideas coming to life and the difference it makes to each resident's day!

Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Latimer Court Care Home
Knit & Natter
This week saw the beginning of our Knit & Natter Group. The ladies have started on squares, which are to be made into a cosy blanket. They all thoroughly enjoyed the group and have requested they meet more often than once a week.
Musical Moments
The fabulous Rosie from Musical Moments entertained residents recently. There was lots of singing and laughter before they all went off for their favourite Friday fish and chip lunch.
Armchair Exercise
Megan visits us every Tuesday afternoon for armchair exercise. This is a fun, interactive session open to residents and the community.
Pottery Session
We enjoyed several pottery sessions hosted by Carey, where we made hedgehogs. These were really fun sessions and we have several more planned.
Garden Centre Visit
We recently visited St Peter's Garden Centre to look at their fantastic Christmas displays, followed by a lovely hot chocolate.
Pet Therapy
We had a lovely visit from the PAT dogs Ziggy & Zebbedy. The residents all had the chance to have a cuddle.
Upcoming events
Monthly Dementia Cafe
Join us for our dementia cafe, enjoy cakes, refreshments, activities & a warm welcome. Family / carers come along too, make new friends in a safe space.
Dementia Friendly Film Club
Join us for our dementia friendly film mornings. Relax in our cinema room, enjoy a classic movie & delicious refreshments. Booking essential please on 01905 363270.

We are opening our doors to our seniors in the community to combat loneliness - 3rd Friday of the month. Places are limited.
