Activities at Latimer Court Care Home
Here at Latimer Court, we have a varied social programme that includes themed events once a month, painting classes, day trips out, exercise classes and arts & crafts, to name but a few. We strive to tailor our activities to suit everyone's needs, and update our notice boards weekly so that all families and visitors can see what their loved ones have been up to. Dan Taylor-Edwards
I'm Dan and I'm the Activities Coordinator here at Latimer Court. I joined the team in 2022. I have worked in care for many years as a carer and activities roles, and absolutely love my role here. I love working with the elderly and have a real passion to enrich every day and make their lives as special as they can be.
I have many ideas for group activities and events as well as for individual interactions, and love seeing these ideas coming to life and the difference it makes to each resident's day!

Life at Latimer Court Care Home
A visit from the Salvation Army
We recently had a visit form the Salvation Army. The residents loved singing the carols and reminiscing about the past whilst enjoying a mulled wine or sherry.
Elf Day at Latimer Court
Residents and staff took part in Elf Day this year to raise funds for the Alzheimer's Society.
Floral fun
Our residents recently enjoyed a visit from Gill Ross who is a local florist. She demonstrated making three lovely arrangements that we have placed around the home.
Santa and his reindeers stop in for a visit!
We recently had some surprise visitors at their home this week when Father Christmas and his reindeer stopped in to bring some festive cheer. Residents alongside young locals from the neighbouring area enjoyed the sprinkle of Christmas magic as they pet the reindeer that set up shop for the day in the homes grounds. The hospitality team at the home also created a festive spread for all which included freshly baked mince pies, pigs in blankets, and mulled wine with a pinch of cinnamon.

Our lovely residents have been busy making some last minute Christmas decorations for the home.
Animal Mania
Latimer Court recently had some ssscaly friends sssslither in for a visit from Animalmania. Staff and residents conquered their fears to pet the snakes, they were really friendly!

Join us for our dementia cafe, enjoy cakes, refreshments, activities & a warm welcome. Family / carers come along too, make new friends in a safe space.
Dementia Friendly Film Club
