Activities at Latimer Court Care Home
Here at Latimer Court, we have a varied social programme that includes themed events once a month, painting classes, day trips out, exercise classes and arts & crafts, to name but a few. We strive to tailor our activities to suit everyone's needs, and update our notice boards weekly so that all families and visitors can see what their loved ones have been up to. Dan Taylor-Edwards
I'm Dan and I'm the Activities Coordinator here at Latimer Court. I joined the team in 2022. I have worked in care for many years as a carer and activities roles, and absolutely love my role here. I love working with the elderly and have a real passion to enrich every day and make their lives as special as they can be.
I have many ideas for group activities and events as well as for individual interactions, and love seeing these ideas coming to life and the difference it makes to each resident's day!

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Latimer Court Care Home
The Magic Table
We are delighted to announce that we have just had a Magic Table installed, which is an interactive light projector, designed to support residents living with dementia by keeping them engaged through specialised games.
The light projections respond to hand and arm movement, promoting movement, allowing residents to stay stimulated and, most of all, have fun!

Debutots Visit
Debutots paid the residents at Latimer court a visit today. There were smiles all around as the children had fun interacting with some of or residents.
Sensory Room
Our Sensory Room provided by Jungle Jiggle and is proving a real success. The residents enjoy the range of lights.

School Trip
We took some residents to Kempsey Primary School, as the children were hosting a community coffee morning. They loved seeing and interacting with the children, and ate lots of cakes!
Pancake Day
Pancake Day was a great success; everyone enjoyed tucking into the pancakes with different toppings, and some even had a go at tossing them.

Monthly Dementia Cafe
Join us for our dementia cafe, enjoy cakes, refreshments, activities & a warm welcome. Family / carers come along too, make new friends in a safe space.
Dementia Friendly Film Club
