Activities at Latimer Court Care Home
Here at Latimer Court, we have a varied social programme that includes themed events once a month, painting classes, day trips out, exercise classes and arts & crafts, to name but a few. We strive to tailor our activities to suit everyone's needs, and update our notice boards weekly so that all families and visitors can see what their loved ones have been up to. Dan Taylor-Edwards
I'm Dan and I'm the Activities Coordinator here at Latimer Court. I joined the team in 2022. I have worked in care for many years as a carer and activities roles, and absolutely love my role here. I love working with the elderly and have a real passion to enrich every day and make their lives as special as they can be.
I have many ideas for group activities and events as well as for individual interactions, and love seeing these ideas coming to life and the difference it makes to each resident's day!

Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Latimer Court Care Home
Tuesday Fitness
Residents loved our Tuesday fitness classes with Megan. They are starting to get very good!
Gfitness Session
Every Tuesday afternoon, Megan from Gfitness runs an armchair exercise class. The residents love this session and we are now offering it to the community, so people who would like to do some armchair exercises can come and join in for £2, which includes a tea/coffee and cake.
Sherry & Quiz Afternoon
On a rainy Friday, we decided to have a sherry and quiz afternoon, which was hosted by residents.
Bollywood Dance Company
Residents enjoyed a visit form the Bollywood Dance Company. It was really colourful and fun and something different for the residents to enjoy.
Pamper Evening
A lovely resident can be seen above enjoying some pampering and nail care from Activities Coordinator, Alicia.
A Walk in the Park
Some of our Memory Lane and nursing residents enjoyed an outing in the local park and then a walk by the river.
Upcoming events
Monthly Dementia Cafe
Join us for our dementia cafe, enjoy cakes, refreshments, activities & a warm welcome. Family / carers come along too, make new friends in a safe space.
Dementia Friendly Film Club
Join us for our dementia friendly film mornings. Relax in our cinema room, enjoy a classic movie & delicious refreshments. Booking essential please on 01905 363270.
