Activities at Latimer Court Care Home

Here at Latimer Court, we have a varied social programme that includes themed events once a month, painting classes, day trips out, exercise classes and arts & crafts, to name but a few. We strive to tailor our activities to suit everyone's needs, and update our notice boards weekly so that all families and visitors can see what their loved ones have been up to. Our aim is to make sure that those we support can enjoy a happy and fulfilled stay with us. You can take a look at some of our regular activities by clicking here.

Dan Taylor-Edwards

Activities Coordinator & Dementia Champion

I'm Dan and I'm the Activities Coordinator here at Latimer Court. I joined the team in 2022. I have worked in care for many years as a carer and activities roles, and absolutely love my role here. I love working with the elderly and have a real passion to enrich every day and make their lives as special as they can be.

I have many ideas for group activities and events as well as for individual interactions, and love seeing these ideas coming to life and the difference it makes to each resident's day!

Lollipop Pony Parties

Lollipop Pony Parties visited Latimer Court for the first time recently. Lollipop and Tinkerbell the miniature Shetlands were loved by all the residents and were really well-behaved. We hope to have them visit again in the new year.

This is Our Minibus

This is Our Minibus

Here at Latimer Court, we have our own minibus for trips out and appointments.

Coming into a care home should not mean you lose your independence; we strive to ensure that residents are kept active and can get out and about when they want.

Here is the lovely Margaret; she is off to the garden centre!

Our next trip will be to do some Christmas shopping, so look out for our minibus and give us a wave!

Tesco Trip

We went to our local Tesco with these lovely ladies to buy treats and essentials – and even a Christmas stocking filler or two were purchased!. The ladies decided to buy a few extra items to donate to the local food bank.

Out in Worcester

On Saturday 11th November, we took the lovely, colourful Margaret to St Richards Hospice in Worcester to purchase beautifully handmade poppies. We also took the opportunity to stop off at Worcester Country Park for a nice warming cuppa in the fresh air.

Barchester's 25th Anniversary

Residents at Latimer Court had lots of fun celebrating 25 years of Barchester. Everyone really got into the spirit of the celebrations with live entertainment, party games, champagne and canapés, which were enjoyed by residents, their families and the local community.

Flower Arranging

Gill Ross, a local florist, visits every month and hosts flower arranging sessions for residents. This is a very popular activity and we get to display the beautiful creations around the home.
