Activities at Latimer Court Care Home
Here at Latimer Court, we have a varied social programme that includes themed events once a month, painting classes, day trips out, exercise classes and arts & crafts, to name but a few. We strive to tailor our activities to suit everyone's needs, and update our notice boards weekly so that all families and visitors can see what their loved ones have been up to. Dan Taylor-Edwards
I'm Dan and I'm the Activities Coordinator here at Latimer Court. I joined the team in 2022. I have worked in care for many years as a carer and activities roles, and absolutely love my role here. I love working with the elderly and have a real passion to enrich every day and make their lives as special as they can be.
I have many ideas for group activities and events as well as for individual interactions, and love seeing these ideas coming to life and the difference it makes to each resident's day!

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Latimer Court Care Home
Nigel and the Pink Ladies
Nigel, our Maintenance Manager, and our team of bubbly housekeepers, AKA The Pink Ladies, are always on hand to keep Latimer Court fresh and well-presented whilst being a home away from home.
They are always happy to offer help and support in any way they can.
Easter at Latimer
Fresh cakes are always a staple at Latimer, but Easter gives us an excuse to join two of our favourites: freshly baked cakes and chocolate. Amy and Pat got involved in producing some fantastic cakes.
Preparation is everything, and we had lots of help to ensure that there were plenty of decorated eggs for our annual Easter egg hunt. Many people were keen to get involved and win a chocolate Easter egg.
Employee of the Month - March
A big congratulations to our two Employees of the Month! Well done to Maintenance Assistant, Nigel Coachman, and Care Assistant, Dragos Ciuc, for the hard work and dedication that you both bring to Latimer Court. Excellent feedback from other staff, relatives and residents - keep up the good work!
Employee of the Month - October
October's Employee of the Month at Latimer was none other than Senior Carer, Ed Toogood. He was nominated for his compassion and dedication to his role and is an example to other carers.
Latimer Court's April Employee of the Month
Employee of the Month for Latimer Court is Senior Care Assistant, Lauren Franklin.
Lauren is recognised for always being 100% dedicated. Other staff members have described her as being a pleasure to work with and have praised her for her professional standards. She has been a good team player since starting at Latimer and is very supportive towards other members of staff, residents and their families. She is passionate about her job and always goes the extra mile; nothing is too much trouble when it comes to the care of her residents. She is delightful to be around and deserves to be nominated for Employee of the Month.
Queen's Birthday Celebrations at Latimer Court
We had an afternoon tea party for Her Majesty's 90th birthday, where family members came along to join in with their loved ones to celebrate.
