Activities at Latimer Court Care Home
Here at Latimer Court, we have a varied social programme that includes themed events once a month, painting classes, day trips out, exercise classes and arts & crafts, to name but a few. We strive to tailor our activities to suit everyone's needs, and update our notice boards weekly so that all families and visitors can see what their loved ones have been up to. Dan Taylor-Edwards
I'm Dan and I'm the Activities Coordinator here at Latimer Court. I joined the team in 2022. I have worked in care for many years as a carer and activities roles, and absolutely love my role here. I love working with the elderly and have a real passion to enrich every day and make their lives as special as they can be.
I have many ideas for group activities and events as well as for individual interactions, and love seeing these ideas coming to life and the difference it makes to each resident's day!

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Latimer Court Care Home
Weekly Music Sessions
Our weekly music therapy sessions are always a hit with our residents. Music has many benefits, it helps people express feelings & ideas. It can help the person connect with others around them. Also it can encourage social interaction & promotes activity.
Creative Craft Sessions
Our residents enjoy being creative, we have various themes and projects each week. At this week’s craft session we were busy making stained glass windows, if creates a beautiful effect when the sun shines!
Musical Therapy
Residents sang some of their favourite songs & played with a variety of instruments. We reminisced about their childhoods & some of the instruments they used to play. Research has shown numerous benefits for music therapy.
A Stroll in the Sunshine
We have been making the most of the beautiful weather we have been having in the UK & enjoying going out in our lovely garden for a walk in the sunshine, it feels like Summer is here already!
Gardening Club Get Ready for Spring
We are keeping busy at our regular weekly Gardening club. Our residents look forward to the weekly event. The theme was planting seeds & preparing hanging baskets for our lovely garden here at Latimer.
Games Morning
We enjoyed a lovely morning playing a variety of games. Residents commented on how much they enjoyed playing, some learned how to play games which they have never played before. It became quite competitive, there were some very happy winners with smiles all round.
Upcoming events
Monthly Dementia Cafe
Join us for our dementia cafe, enjoy cakes, refreshments, activities & a warm welcome. Family / carers come along too, make new friends in a safe space.
Dementia Friendly Film Club
Join us for our dementia friendly film mornings. Relax in our cinema room, enjoy a classic movie & delicious refreshments. Booking essential please on 01905 363270.

We are opening our doors to our seniors in the community to combat loneliness - 3rd Friday of the month. Places are limited.
