Activities at Latimer Court Care Home
Here at Latimer Court, we have a varied social programme that includes themed events once a month, painting classes, day trips out, exercise classes and arts & crafts, to name but a few. We strive to tailor our activities to suit everyone's needs, and update our notice boards weekly so that all families and visitors can see what their loved ones have been up to. Dan Taylor-Edwards
I'm Dan and I'm the Activities Coordinator here at Latimer Court. I joined the team in 2022. I have worked in care for many years as a carer and activities roles, and absolutely love my role here. I love working with the elderly and have a real passion to enrich every day and make their lives as special as they can be.
I have many ideas for group activities and events as well as for individual interactions, and love seeing these ideas coming to life and the difference it makes to each resident's day!

We have been praised for a responsive, safe, effective, caring & well-led service. Barchester are so proud of the team, we can't thank them enough for their hard work & commitment. A huge thank you also, to our residents & their families who have been so supportive too.
Animal Mania Mobile Zoo Visit
Thank you to Animal Mania, we loved being able to learn more about the animals & hold them too. Some of our residents were super brave & even held the very gentle & calm snake!
Lovely Visit to Garden Centre
What a fabulous visit we had to St Peters Garden Centre. The weather was perfect, blue skies and no rain! After perusing the wonderful array of plants & gifts we enjoyed tea & cake in their cafe.
Family Time in the Autumn Sunshine
What a glorious weekend with blue skies, even though it was a little chilly some of our residents & families ventured outdoors in our garden, playing games, chatting & relaxing in the fresh air & making the most of the sunshine.
Celebrating Her Majesty The Queen's Life
We’ve been reminiscing & celebrating the reign of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Some of us created display boards with clippings & photographs about Her Majesty's incredible life. We will keep the lovely memories of Queen Elizabeth II in our hearts forever
Fruit Picking With Skye
Our Monday gardening club is a great success, we enjoyed the fresh air when picking fruit to take in to the kitchen. Huge thank you to Skye our works experience student, she is lovely and will be missed when her time with us is over.
