Activities at Chorleywood Beaumont Care Home

Our Activities Coordinators are constantly striving to mentally and physically stimulate those we support by organising group and individual activities for anyone and everyone to participate in. There are regular weekly outings in the minibus to nearby places of interest including the local theatre and Cathedral's as well as visits from PAT dogs, visiting zoos, musicians and entertainers. We also host evenings such as our Pizza & Quiz Night that we encourage relatives to come to. Activities are one of the most important aspects of a care home, so it is essential that our team are dedicated to ensuring that residents are entertained, and that life at Chorleywood Beaumont Care Community is fun and active.

Jaime Gilbank

Activities Coordinator Lead

I joined the Chorleywood Beaumont team in 2023 an activities coordinator lead. I  have worked in the care sector for over 9 years and I have been a wellbeing Activities lead for over 2 years.  In this time I continue to build a great knowledge of skills and experience in providing and implementing a variety of activities to cater and support for all needs. Suiting each individual, supporting the mind body and soul.  I am passionate about my role here at Chorleywood Beaumont, providing person centred support and  caring for the wellbeing of everyone. I am a people person and I love putting a smile on our resident’s faces. It is so rewarding and makes me happy.

Life at Chorleywood Beaumont Care Home

Celebrating 15 Years

Celebrating 15 Years

A massive congratulations to Lisa Harris, who has worked here at Chorleywood for 15 years! Lisa is hardworking, passionate and dedicated to her role within the home. Here’s to the next 15!

Still Life

Still Life

We’ve started to run a still life drawing class at Chorleywood, hosted by Max Perkins. Max has recently finished his MA at the Royal College of Art and has been running an art course along with seminars about famous artists at Chalfont Lodge, one of our sister homes. It was such a success that we’ve decided to give it a try here at Chorleywood. The art class will be held every other Monday. Please feel free to come along!

Cupcake Decorating

Cupcake Decorating

Last week we all had a go at decorating some cupcakes. We used an array of butter creams, sprinkles, wafer daisies and editable glitters to make some truly scrumptious cakes! After we handed them out to residents and staff around the home, some people said they were almost too pretty to eat!

Santa Comes to Chorleywood

Santa Comes to Chorleywood

A big thank you to Father Christmas, who returned once again, along with the help of Mrs. Claus, to give out all the presents on Christmas Day!

Russell School Visits

Russell School Visits

We had the most perfect day when over 20 children from the Junior Vocals Choir at the Russell School came to perform for us. Relationships that form between children and the elderly are truly remarkable; you’d be surprised how much they have in common. Well done to everyone at the Russell School – you all were outstanding!

Christmas Lights

Christmas Lights

A massive thank you to our Senior General Manager, Wayne Hughes, who drove some of us to London to see all the gorgeous lights. It was an afternoon full of excitement! We all said that Harrods was one of our favourites.
