Meet our Lifestyle Enrichment Coordinator, Helen
Hello I am Helen. I’ve worked as an activity coordinator for 6 years. I am very passionate about my role and supporting residents in living life to the full. Here at Chorleywood we have a vast range of activities and events and we look forward to every day with excitement.
Activities at Chorleywood Beaumont
Our Activities Coordinators are constantly striving to mentally and physically stimulate those we support by organising group and individual activities for anyone and everyone to participate in. There are regular weekly outings in the minibus to nearby places of interest including the local theatre and Cathedral's as well as visits from PAT dogs, visiting zoos, musicians and entertainers. We also host evenings such as our Pizza & Quiz Night that we encourage relatives to come to. Activities are one of the most important aspects of a care home, so it is essential that our team are dedicated to ensuring that residents are entertained, and that life at Chorleywood Beaumont Care Community is fun and active.

Celebrations have been in full swing at Chorleywood Beaumont
Celebrations have been in full swing at Chorleywood Beaumont, as one of our residents reaches centenary in style. Nesta was joined by staff, relatives, friends and other residents as she received a telegram from the Queen in recognition of her landmark birthday. A royal reception was held at the home and guests enjoyed a special birthday cake beautifully made by the home’s chef Callum Stoneham. Nesta's wish was to have a pony for her birthday, the team worked hard in making her wish come true. Nesta, said: “It’s been a marvellous day, wonderful, I am booking my birthday party for next year already”
Thank you to the Chorleywood Rangers who gave a very interesting talk on Chorleywood Common and local green spaces. Their presentation gave us information on its history and what wild life we may find there. A really interesting afternoon. Thank you from all at Chorleywood Care Community.
International Nurses Day
It’s been a time of gratitude and celebration at Chorleywood Beaumont. International nurses' day. We are so grateful for their hard work and dedication during a time that has been so uncertain for everyone. All of our fantastic team kept smiling through and made sure the residents were happy and content. Thank you to all nurses' out there. Happy International nurses day !!
Our Glorious Gardening Club
Our green fingered gardening club Chris, Susan and Merriam work their magic in our beautiful garden. This time of year it is particularly glorious as it is full of colour and beautiful fragrance. Being in the garden has many therapeutic benefits. Good accessibility to our garden enables residents to keep gardening and maintain an active lifestyle which supports their physical and emotional wellbeing. Our well planned garden forms part of a holistic treatment plan providing scope for physical exercise to help relieve tension and aid relaxation. There are plenty of places for reflection and privacy and the garden is a great space to spend time with family and loved ones. A lovely place to give a sense of serenity surrounded by nature.
