Activities at Chorleywood Beaumont Care Home

Our Activities Coordinators are constantly striving to mentally and physically stimulate those we support by organising group and individual activities for anyone and everyone to participate in. There are regular weekly outings in the minibus to nearby places of interest including the local theatre and Cathedral's as well as visits from PAT dogs, visiting zoos, musicians and entertainers. We also host evenings such as our Pizza & Quiz Night that we encourage relatives to come to. Activities are one of the most important aspects of a care home, so it is essential that our team are dedicated to ensuring that residents are entertained, and that life at Chorleywood Beaumont Care Community is fun and active.

I joined Barchester in November 2016 as an senior care assistant and in May 2024 I became the Activity Lead at Chorleywood Beaumont.

It is a joy to work with such a great team and nothing makes me happier to bring joy and laughter into our residents daily lives.

A baking egg-stravaganza

Today, we had an absolute blast at our annual Easter Cake Competition organised by the Hospitality Team at Barchester Health CareWith expert guidance from our Head Chef Ray, our residents and staff showcased their creativity, baking and decorating a truly amazing cake, not only did it look amazing but it tasted fantastic. What a creative bunch we are. A huge thank you to everyone who joined in the fun and helped make this competition extra special! Live music and cheese and wine tasting at Chorleywood Beaumont

What an amazing time we had at our recent Cheese and Wine event here at Chorleywood Beaumont Care Community - Barchester Healthcare! We invited residents, their loved ones and our friends from the local community to join us for this wonderful event. There was live music from the beautiful singer Stacey DeLooze to make the evening perfect.It was a fantastic opportunity to come together, enjoy great company, and indulge in some delicious treats. A trip to the village Coffee shop.

We love a trip out in our mini bus and today was no exception. Residents, relatives, and staff made the most of the beautiful sunny weather by hopping on the minibus and heading to the local Costa Coffee. It was a wonderful opportunity to take a look around the village, enjoy some drinks and engage in delightful conversations with our friends.  

World Book Day Celebration at Chorleywood Beaumont.

This week, we had a wonderful time celebrating World Book Day with a special visit from Russell School! Our residents were delighted as the students read beautiful stories, bringing joy and laughter to our community.A big thank you to Russel School for sharing their love of reading with us. Celebrating International Women’s Day at Chorleywood Beaumont!

 For International Women’s Day, we honored the incredible women in our community with beautiful flower arrangements! A visit from some feathered friends!

We were absolutely delighted to welcome Performing Pets who brought along their little feathered friends – baby chicks! Our residents had an amazing time watching these charming little ones strut their stuff, and it was such a heartwarming experience to see the joy on everyone’s faces. A huge thank you to the talented performers and their lovely animals for making today extra special.
