Activities at Chorleywood Beaumont Care Home

Our Activities Coordinators are constantly striving to mentally and physically stimulate those we support by organising group and individual activities for anyone and everyone to participate in. There are regular weekly outings in the minibus to nearby places of interest including the local theatre and Cathedral's as well as visits from PAT dogs, visiting zoos, musicians and entertainers. We also host evenings such as our Pizza & Quiz Night that we encourage relatives to come to. Activities are one of the most important aspects of a care home, so it is essential that our team are dedicated to ensuring that residents are entertained, and that life at Chorleywood Beaumont Care Community is fun and active.

Jaime Gilbank

Activities Coordinator Lead

I joined the Chorleywood Beaumont team in 2023 an activities coordinator lead. I  have worked in the care sector for over 9 years and I have been a wellbeing Activities lead for over 2 years.  In this time I continue to build a great knowledge of skills and experience in providing and implementing a variety of activities to cater and support for all needs. Suiting each individual, supporting the mind body and soul.  I am passionate about my role here at Chorleywood Beaumont, providing person centred support and  caring for the wellbeing of everyone. I am a people person and I love putting a smile on our resident’s faces. It is so rewarding and makes me happy.

Celebrating Carers Week

Celebrating Carers Week

Chorleywood Beaumont had a day of celebrations and gifts to thank care staff at the home, who make a real difference to the lives of those in their care. Staff members were provided with a selection of chocolatey treats and were honoured by the residents, who thoughtfully added wishes on artificial leaves on a caring tree for staff members. All carer go above and beyond their roles when delivering care. Additionally, Harold, a resident and ambassador at the home presented the caring teams with certificates.

International Nurses Day

International Nurses Day

We celebrated International Nurses Day, and resident, Desmond, did a speech and presented all our nurses with a certificate in recognition of their hard work.

Indoor Gardening

Indoor Gardening

Patrick McNicholas, the home’s Gardner, and Mrs Hicks, a resident of the home’s assistant living apartments, gathered some residents around the home (as the weather wasn’t great for outdoor gardening) and decided to get their hands dirty by using old chested draws to plant some flowers.
