Activities at Wilsmere House Care Home
Most days, you will find our Activities Coordinators doing a range of different activities with residents, whether that be in a group setting or on a one-to-one basis. It is important that our activities team are passionate about the social events that we provide, and are dedicated to delivering an activities programme that reflect the interests and capabilities of those we support, so that life at Wilsmere House is full of fun.

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Wilsmere House Care Home
Cupcake Week
Residents at Wilsmere House were all busy baking and decorating cakes for Cupcake Week. These were then sold and the proceeds went to Macmillan Cancer Support.
Employee of the Month - August
Gertrude joined them home almost 10 years ago and was nominated by residents and loved ones.
Not only do most residents say that she is a friend, but they also say that she’s the type of person who is always there when they need her.
We are now rated 'good'
Wilsmere House house officially been rated 'good' by the CQC, following a recent inspection. Staff members were thrilled!
Enjoying Nature
A group of residents went to Ayletts Garden Centre and were wowed by the butterfly display.
They saw swallow tails and skippers and even had the privilege of sharing some fruits with the beauties.
The butterflies were so friendly that they sat on the their laps and even on their cheeks!
From Spain with Love
Residents enjoyed an afternoon of flamenco dancing. Staff members also joined in and it was the topic of conversation for the entire week.
Sports Day 2017
We were blessed with perfect weather on Wednesday 16th August; the sun was shining behind the clouds and residents, loved ones, staff and friends of Wilsmere House came out for a day of sporty fun.
