We understand that the people we support have passions and interests that could be difficult to pursue after moving into a care home – but that doesn’t mean we don’t encourage them to try! Some hobbies can define a person, so our Activities Coordinators are dedicated to ensuring that everyone we support is able to do what makes them happy to the best of their abilities. Social events are organised with individual tastes in mind and with the idea that residents have the opportunity to try new and exciting things.

Later Life Planning Seminar
A huge thank you to Daniel Denham for holding our first Care Fees Planning Seminar at Waterside Court! Daniel is a local Financial Advisor who specialises in Later Life Planning and provides dedicated, independent financial advice on all aspects of care fees planning.

Fireworks at Waterside
Waterside Court had a "sparkling" weekend celebrating Guy Fawkes Night.
Residents were treated to their very own fireworks display as they sat back with a lovely cup of hot chocolate.
Halloween Hamper Competition Winner
At the start of November, we had a Halloween Hamper competition running on our Facebook page. The rules were simple and easy - answer a question in the comments section, like our page and share the post!
Emma did all of the above and was the pleased recipient of our wonderful Barchester Goody Bag and Hamper, which contained a bottle of prosecco, luxury chocolates, themed scented fragrances and much more!

Pumpkin Flower Arranging
Residents at Waterside Court enjoy flower arranging, making it one of our most popular activities on our Life Enrichment programme.
Thanks to Waitrose in Wallingford, Waterside Court are able to purchase a fantastic array of flowers with a special discount. For Halloween, we thought we'd try spicing up our flower arranging skills by using a pumpkin as a vase!

Trick or Treat?! On Halloween at Waterside Court, we had treats all the way!
Residents were treated to a wonderful, themed tea trolley, full of delightful home-made cakes. We then had a game of bingo as per residents' requests, with lots of goodies on offer for prizes.
Residents then enjoyed a nutritious meal in the dining room, where all three courses had halloween-themed foods, such as pumpkin soup! ?
Happy Birthday Rene!
It was our very own Rene's birthday and Waterside Court made sure our cake-loving lady had a very special day.
Rene spent the day out with her lovely family before returning to Waterside Court for dinner, where we made sure we had her favourite brandy waiting and a delicious, home-made cake. Happy Birthday Rene!
