Activities at Mount Vale Care Home
Our specialist activities staff are committed to organising a mix of activities and events for residents and the local community to get involved in, including trips out to local places of interest in our minibus and visits from PAT dogs, entertainers and musicians. It is important to us that each individual who we support can get as much from these as possible, so we try our best to arrange activities that reflect their interests and capabilities as best as possible, and encourage them to participate in any way they can. We also encourage relatives to join with activities and events as often as they can.
Read our brochure 'Life-enriching activities' for more information about life in our care homes.

Life at Mount Vale Care Home
Fun in the Snow
Peter, Helen and Jean (pink coat) enjoyed spending time in the garden, and even managed to throw a few snowballs!
Cats in Pyjamas
We had Cats in Pyjamas Productions come in recently to put on a performance of Calamity Jane. Everyone had lots of fun!
The Sun Says Hello
When we had a little sun, resident, Helen, popped out into the garden to enjoy our summer house.
Out & About
Residents enjoyed a trip to the local department store for some coffee.
Burns Night
We had Hannah Heart come in to entertain us for Burns Night, when she sang both old songs and new.
We held a special Burns lunch, where we had traditional haggis, neeps and tatties and, of course, a wee dram of whiskey.
101st Birthday Celebrations
Resident, Joyce, turned 101 on 22nd November 2017 and enjoyed a visit from Northallerton Mayor, John Forest, and the Mayoress, Edna Forest. Joyce enjoyed her cake and plenty of fizz. Our Head of Elderly Frail, Sue Rowley, and Nurse, Christine Ray, joined in with the celebrations, along with Helen Lewis, our General Manager.
