Activities at Mount Vale Care Home
Our specialist activities staff are committed to organising a mix of activities and events for residents and the local community to get involved in, including trips out to local places of interest in our minibus and visits from PAT dogs, entertainers and musicians. It is important to us that each individual who we support can get as much from these as possible, so we try our best to arrange activities that reflect their interests and capabilities as best as possible, and encourage them to participate in any way they can. We also encourage relatives to join with activities and events as often as they can.
Read our brochure 'Life-enriching activities' for more information about life in our care homes.

Life at Mount Vale Care Home
Pet Therapy Visit
We had a wonderful time when we had a visit from our local Pet Therapists. This time they bought in owls for the residents to hold and pet!
Halloween Party
We invited the local nursery school children for a lovely afternoon tea party for Halloween. Everyone enjoyed a good chuckle!
The Kids Are Back in Town!
We were joined by some nursery children, who enjoy our weekly reading corner. A resident decided to show one of them how to play piano – it was lovely to watch!
Gardening at Mount Vale
Helen has enjoyed tending the garden this summer and is delighted with the pumpkins we managed to grow, all ready for Halloween!
Rosedene Nursery
We now work with Rosedene Nurseries and hold regular events with them. Our most recent session had residents and children reading together. As you can see from the photos, everyone thoroughly enjoyed this. Our home has just been refurbished and our new café lounge space is ideal for these sessions.
Open Day
We hosted an open day to showcase our recent refurbishment, and were joined by the Mayor of Northallerton, John Forest, who was very impressed.
